Bill's Blubberings Tuesday 8 Sept 1998

Dingles
As Paddy gets ready for work Mandy is talking about the party they will
throw when they buy the house. Paddy comments that he will be expected
to bank-roll that too. He is trying to tell her the bad news about not
funding the house purchase but she is not listening, too happy to
listen.

Farm
At the breakfast table a laid back MCP, Ned, comments:"Tea pot's empty
Sarah." He is very much at home and Sarah is obviously not happy but
Jack is more understanding.

Marchant's
Steve is eager to hear Kim's rustling plans saying they had better be
good to better his.

Vet's
Zoe finds Paddy doing his sums trying to get the figures right prior to
seeing the bank. She takes this as a yes to the partnership and is
delighted until she realises that Mandy does not yet know. Betty arrives
and says that she cannot clean as she is going to Hotten. She gives Zoe
the 'nod nod, wink wink' treatment, thinking that it was her who slipped
her the 5K. Zoe is confused. Paddy asks if Betty has been on the sherry.

Home Farm
Tara informs Kim that Laura WILL be involved in the stud. Kim asks about
the wedding wondering if Michael just sees her as good breeding stock.
Just then he arrives and asks Tara outside to show her a new car. (posh
sporty job, possibly XK8). She loves it and they go for a spin. Kim
looks on, angrily.

Annies
Biff objects to Marlon and Lynn snogging all the time. As they talk Roy
appears grabs the TV remote saying:"Are the TeleTubbies on yet?" Will
talks to Biff about Tara and true love and that Biff cannot stop
thinking of her. Roy pipes up saying it is all tosh and they should all
be out on the pull. (pulling TeleTubbies no doubt)

Estate
Michael stops the car and they get out. He tells her that he finds it
difficult to adjust to their situation and hopes that she understands.
He asks if she likes the car. She does. "It's yours."

Hotten Building Society
Betty puts on her best posh voice for the mortgage man. He tells her
that she and Seth are too old for a mortgage and dismisses her. The posh
voice is suddenly gone as she replies.

Estate
Michael explains that the car is a present for getting her license back,
then, from his pocket, he brings out a ring with a huge diamond in it
and places it on her finger. They pledge their love for each other and
kiss.

Garage
Paddy comes to see Lisa, she is pleased to see this hero but notices his
worried expression. Before he starts to talk he ask her to put down a
spanner she is holding. He tells her that the bank requires him to put
ALL his savings in against the loan he needs for the partnership. She is
angry when she realises that he is looking for her to tell the family
the news. She is unhappy. "Do your own dirty work."

Home Farm
Tara returns as Kim is showing out a security guard. She tells Tara that
she is just telling him to expect to see Laura around in the future. Kim
notices the ring but tara stops her making any comments about Michael.
Kim instead asks her how she feels, questioning her motives. She tells
of losing David for money and always regretting it.As Tara thanks her
for the advice, Kim asks:"Can you spend the rest of your life looking at
the same fake smile?"

Village
Betty sees Zoe , tells her about the building society and gives her the
money, thanking her. Zoe just manages to convince her that she doesn't
know anything about it. Zoe sees Paddy pulling up and excuses herself.
She and Paddy shake on the partnership, but Zoe is still concerned that
he has not yet told Mandy.

Farm
Robert comments to Robert that old folk are no good at computer games.
He is playing Ned at Play station footy. Sarah calls for the boys to
wash their hands for supper and when they go Ned offers her his advice
on how to bring up two boys. She is looking daggers at him as he
adds:"What's for supper then?"

Marchant's
Kim starts to outline her plan to Steve. She intends to take the stud
horses out with the stable horses one lunch time. She will make a horse
called Toby look like the one she wants to steal (Orsino) by putting a
white mark on him. They will take Orsino and when back at the stables
Toby will be put in Orsino's box. Kim goes on to say that Steve will
then stage his 'robbery' that night. He points out that he will need an
alibi for that night to which Kim says that it will be the best part of
the scam.

Dingles
Zak comes home happy as he has an interview for the milkman's job. The
family are please apart from Lisa who looks worried. She realises that
Paddy has not said anything and gives them the bad news. Mandy says that
it must be a mistake and that she will sort it out.

Marchant's
Kim goes on to say that their alibi will be provided by a dinner guest.
At sometime during the evening Steve will go upstairs supposedly to make
some calls. He will nip out the back, open some doors at the stables,
put Toby back in his own box, steal a horse box which he will abandon
then leg it back. He will then come back down, mobile in hand, as if
nothing had happened. Kim says that it should take 40 minutes.

Dingles
Paddy comes home to an angry Mandy. He wants to explain but she wants
him gone. He insists that she listens.

Marchant's
Kim says that the dinner guest will Zoe. Steve is speechless. Kim is
excited at the thought of the plan and they retire to bed for some fun.

Dingles
Mandy is still not listening and starts throwing Paddy's clothes out.
She accuses him of not caring about her and says they they are finished.

Marchant's
In bed, after their fun, Steve says that they should have a practice run
at the robbery. She says that she intends to by inviting The Rev. Ashley
around. Steve can't wait.

Dingles
Mandy throws Paddy and his stuff down the steps and out saying that she
never wants to see him again. The rest of the family looks on.

Ends.

Very similar to mine (Sal)

She tells Tara that

Should I be on my guard from now on then?

You missed out a good part of that scene Bill, the part where Lyn
commented on the other 3 not having girlfriends. ;)

LOL!
Someone though (I think it was Will) made a telling comment that Roy was
parroting what Scott was saying about pulling women. Seeing as Scott's track
record with girls is as crap as Roy's, what's the betting they'll find
comfort in each other's arms after all?

Plus....IIRC, Will only had a major crush on Dee, whilst she was attracted
to him but was loyal to Eric. Yet here was Will talking about true love,
"like he & Dee had". Did they sleep together? I can't remember!
