Bill's Blubberings Tue 9/6/98

Betty is telling Marlon that she suspects Mandy of moving the clothes,
so she can get stock for her business.

Plank refuses to give Pollard the keys to the hall, on the vicar's
orders.

Zak is swotting for the quiz from the crib sheet, and enlists Butch's
help, whilst they both ignore Mandy's pleas for help with her stock.

Chris invites Piggy to lunch, she at first says no but then probably
realises that no-one else will listen to her, so agrees to meet him.

Biff and Tara are at each other's throats as Kim comes to complain
about Chris locking her out of the Estate office. As Tara storms off
in a huff Kim asks Biff what is up with Kim. Biff replies
"Don't you recognise the symptoms?"

Steve, baby-sitting James in the tea rooms tells Betty that if he
needs a cleaner again, she need not apply. Chris and Kelly talk about
Viv and Vic.

In the Woolly everyone is excited about the quiz, or more likely the
#50 prize. Jed tries to poach Jack from Betty's team but fails. Betty
storms in and accuses Mandy of more Knicker Knicking. They spill
outside where the police,called by Betty,await. It is obvious that
washing is being moved, not stolen so the rozzers depart.

Kim comes in to find James home alone. Steve appears having been
asleep upstairs. He gets an earful.

Chris wants to discuss raising estate rents but Biff interrupts saying
no. Tara packs Chris off then tells Biff that she doesn't want his
opinion.

In the tea rooms jed scrounges the price of a cuppa from Kirsty who
was talking to Donna. Pollard can be heard on the phone, losing
another argument with the vicar, telling him to go to hell!

At rugger training there is no Will and the Dingles want an early away
to go to the quiz. After leaving practice we see Zak in the Woolly
drinking lemonade to keep a clear head for the quiz. Kathy offers to
partner Steve, he asks why. She jokes about the #50 going to ward
paying his debts.

The rest of the rugger team return and Mandy, who has had a good day
selling, gives it all to Paddy to pay for Zoe's car. The Quiz begins..

Meanwhile Piggy and Plank (sounds like a comedy turn) argue about Viv.
He defends Viv saying that he loves her.

While Betty grabs the quiz microphone to try to find the knicker, Roy
tells Jack that is him having a laugh and unknown to jack slips a pair
of knicks into Jacks coat pocket. In a corner Steve, who is supposed
to be job-hunting, tells Biff that he needs a job,any job. Biff says
he may know of one.

Heather announces The Deadly Dingles as the winners. What a surprise!

Kim comes in with James to find the 'job-hunting' Steve drinking and
calls him pathetic.

As Viv comes home the girls have a surprise, Donna flowers, Kelly an
ultimatum: "She goes or I do. Decide!"

Silence as Viv looks slowly to Vic...

"She's decided for you, as normal." says Kelly.
