Mike Gartner's second goal of the game on a power-play was the game-winner
as the NY Rangers beat the Boston Bruins in a battle of division leaders.

This game was significant in that it is the first time in 56 games that Bill
Ranford did not play in goal for the Oilers. He had started 55 of those 56;
he relieved Grant Fuhr in a game in Calgary last year when Fuhr tried to
come back from an injury too soon.
