You know, I have been watching this little fiasco for awhile, and
while I neither know September nor Blackmer I can say this. Based on what
I have read and seen of September's posts and writings i can deem him to
be a much more credible and reliable individual than Blackmer. Moronic is
not the word for Blackmer's posts....I prefer abject stupidity,
slanderous, pointless..etc...etc. Perhaps Blackmer would have had a
little more credibilty if instead of jumping in with accusations based on
hearsay, he started by first giving us an idea of what and who he is by
posting a few non-inflammatory posts on topics other than that of attacking
others. Mr. Kennedy, I agree with you entirely. September, your input on
alt.gothic has been insightful...ignore the shit...fools usually fall
quickly.

You misjudge Goth much as you believe we'd misjudge the Church of the

Blackmer isn't responsible for this abject stupidity; it's the illegal
use Augustus puts to John Blackmer's account; as Blackmer is a Harvard
student and Augustus is not...
Now, Augustus is a somewhat comprehensible human being in person. On
the net, he becomes sloppy and a bit obnoxious. To log on to the
internet, he puts on a wife beater t-shirt and begins croaking about
the subjects of beer and roleplaying games. He complains that I never
talk about anything but sex and roleplaying in person, but he's not
had more than one or two conversations with me ever in the course of a
month. At those times, I generally talk about books and how little
money I presently possess, apologising for my lack. Once I gave him
money for books, so he could read and become somewhat literate, and he
spent it on drugs. Once, I gave him a Clive Barker book and later
found it on the shelf of a used bookstore.
To his credit, he has offered me food when I am hungry and accepted
food from me when he himself was hungering, although he made faces
while eating it. I suppose he only enjoys greasy Au Bon Pain food.

WHAT??? A friend of mine told me that Augustus had been using my account
to harass people on the Internet, and that I should look on alt.gothic
for details, and I didn't really believe her as she often says things
like this. But this, this is the last straw. That bastard has been
freeloading off me for too long. I don't know how he got my password, but
I'm talking to my sysadmin about this. I could get kicked out for this
kind of thing!

Agreed. Some Goth's are pathetic....no sense of humor. These are actually
fun because it is *VERY* easy to make them turn various colors of the
rainbow as you irritate them accutely. OTOH, some Goth's actually are

How do you mean, exactly?
I'm perfectly content to see people who are in it for the looks and/or
the music and nothing else. If that's what they like, then great, I'm
happy for them. If they're also supporting the scene by going to clubs
and paying for clothes, and if they play good music and wear clothes that
I enjoy seeing, then all the more reason to be happy for their presence.
Sure, it's also nice to see people with gothic sensibilities, but that's
no reason to complain about the people who don't.
