Thanks for the list! But I noticed the title
_Ring Around the Sun_, by Clifford Simak. I didn't recognize
this one. Is it another new book by a dead author, a reprint,
a biography, or what?

Thanks

It's a reprint. In fact, its a reprint of the second science
fiction novel I ever read (first being "Alien Planet" by
Fletcher Pratt). It's a parallel universe story. Not
one of Simak's best, but pretty readable.
