If noone gets on golfnhead for posting private email, and only the parts I
posted , and not the parts he posted to me, I will be forced to search up
some of the crap he has posted to me, and post it.

I have deleted most of his racist crap too.

Oh, you were counted on to "pile on".

Ha, golfnhead is real jealous, to post all of that..At first I got mad for
him posting private mail, and only posting what I said, and "not" what he
said, only choiced parts, but after thinking about the little creep
(golfnhead), he is real jealous, trying to get to me. Just like you, want to
catch me falling so, you can slip a blow in. :-)..Well, it won't happen
David, that fact of the matter, about things I was telling "golfnhead", I
can do. :-). Also, I forgot to tell golfnhead some things, that I run 30
miles a week too. Had to slack off this week, because after a 2 hour run, my
knee swelled up on me. By the way, I had mentioned that I don't wear regular
pants, nope, just Levi's 501& 505 jeans, and cowboy boots seven days a week.
Forgot to tell golfnhead, that I have about 30 pair of cowboy boots, I buy a
pair every two weeks. Now, let me see David, have I forgot anything else!
:-) Yup, I am supposed to be getting a new set of golf clubs too. heh, heh.
I know you would love that. :-) Don't worry, they will be el-cheapos! :-)

Oh, my matchbook cars you speak of..They were 1st generation RX7s, I collect
them. At one time I was driving a different one everyday of the week. You
can see they weren't on blocks as you suggested.

David, now since I have gave you a lot of information about me, and
low-lifed golfnhead has contributed some, tell me a little about yourself.
Were you always a low-life, or did you become that way in old age? I found
out that the older I get, the more I want out of life. Also, I found out
that if you exercise, you can feel and look a lot younger than what you
really are.

Well, David all this was a reply to your "boo hoo"..That is the reason I
rambled on.

Love you too....:-)

Coleman, did you win some type of law suit of something to afford
those cars and motorcycles? Your spelling and grammar shows you
aren't smart enough to have a job that can afford you such things.

Rob, didn't think you was capable of this kind of post. Material
possessions? Ha, you got to be kidding. Oh, I have to come with the defense.
You have these low-lifes hating my posts, so they attack me. Well, I can't
help it if I am 60+ and can bust 75 to 85 push ups, run for 2 hours and
over, and just like living very free style. No stuff shirt here. And it
kills me, when those creeps try to tell me I live a miserable life. Also, I
understand very well that "quality doesn't need any advertisment", but I
have to bust back at the low lifes.

As for sending some deserving poor kid through college, I don't know what
your motive was for saying that, but whatever. By the end of the year, I
plan on getting a Viper, always wanted one of those cars. It seems like they
made that car for me. The lines, the style, and the performance fits me to a
tee. Also, I got a new set of golf clubs lined up. Don't worry, they are

Like I said Rob, didn't think you was capable of this type of post. You
could have just left it alone, and saved bandwidth. Then in return, I
wouldn't have to sit here and reply to you, and cracking my side all the
time. :-)

BTW, I do my share of volunteering, charity donations, and the like. And I
will not brag about that, like the Great R&B wannabee.

You know, I don't know which you enjoy the most, playing golf, playing with
yourself, or playing with me! If you would *read* the posts that list the
things that I am/was an expert in, you will see, that they include pocket
pool, and five/seven card stud. Sheesh, and you talk about grammar, you
no-spelling, un-grammarical dipshit. Some of your posts make the King's
English cry for relief.

David, I type on the average of 50 wpm, plus I am almost crying laughing
over some of you nuts. With all that going on, I will get some spelling an
grammar mistakes. But, leave it to the conservatives, can't beat a liberal
on issues and facts, you all go to name-calling, insults,
grammar-spelling-police and the like. Yeah, I know, I called ya a name in
this post! You derserve that one. If I got a penny for every
grammar/spelling mistake you made in the RSG, I could buy that Viper that I
want so dearly.

Now, I answered your question, will you answer mine? Were you always creepy
and shitty, did you inherit those ways, or you just got like that in your
old age?

I always understood "pocket pool" as playing with yourself.

>David, I type on the average of 50 wpm,

Wow...that's fast....NOT.

Of course, if you factor in the mistakes, your rating would drop
to 10 WPM. And then if you cleaned up the grammatical errors,
you might rate a 5 WPM rating.....Most 5 yr olds do better with

Why don't all three of you (Laville, Howard and Koenig) knock it off. Every
time any of you are involved in a string together it quickly devolves into
name calling nonsense.

If the lot of you want to call each other names and prove that your smarter
than the other, while proving you are fools to the rest of us, that is your
unfortunate choice. Otherwise, I suggest you take it to another newsgroup,

Agreed. I usually don't lower myself to even respond to these flame wars,
but this is absolutely
unfreakin'believable.

Guys, I don't care who can lift what, run how many miles, drive RX-7s,
shootin' what classic gun, who can spell using the King's English, wear what
fancy boots and Levis and what defines a racist. NOBODY
CARES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mark, Mike and David don't care (among the rest of
us) what Coleman can do.....Coleman (among the rest of us) doesn't care how
Mark, Mike, and David respond, ad nauseum. IT'S FREAKIN' POINTLESS!!!!
NOBODY WINS....EVERYONE LOSES.....AH WHAT THE HELL....LET'S DO IT AGAIN.
And I thought the Roger Bunn and cross posting days were bad........Sheesh.
I DON'T CARE.....NOBODY IN RSG CARES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I want to read/write about golf. Period. I don't care if it's 398 posts
about Tiger picking his nose with the wrong finger, Carts vs. Walking,
Clones vs. OEMs, blades vs cavity backs, steel vs. graphite, what club is
the best, ETCETERA. It's supposed to be a GOLF newgroup (reminds me of the
old Monty Python "Cheese Shop" skit......."It IS a cheese shop, sir.")

Coleman....you are obviously a very determined individual with a lot of
enthusiasm and motivation for living life to its fullest. I don't think
anyone, despite our different opinions, would deny that. But, why are you
hanging out in RSG??????? Do you have any interest in golf what-so-ever
other than using the stereotypes of the game/sport as a vehicle to express
your knee-jerk cries of racism and why you are so cool beyond the coolness
of any of us? REPEAT: I DON'T CARE.....NOBODY IN RSG CARES.

I know Mark, Mike, and David like to talk golf. I've seen numerous posts
from them on the subject. They are very interesting to read when GOLF is
the subject. Otherwise, I could care less to watch you ALL embarrass
yourself with these petty "arguments" over your state of manhood. I have
not seen, but a handful of even slightly golf-related material from you,
Coleman. When we get into these playground name-calling fights on the
newsgroup all of us suffer, not because we have to read them (I ignore 99%
of this crap), but because it becomes a newsgroup that isn't discussing GOLF
anymore.

For the love of God, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, ALL OF YOU WITH PHALLIC
INSUFFICIENCIES, take this to private email and knock yourselves out. Hell,
open up your own newgroup.

TO REPEAT: I DON'T CARE.....NOBODY IN RSG CARES.

Coleman, you are the inaugural member of my first-ever newgroup filter (aka
"kill file"). NOT THAT ANYONE ON RSG CARES.

Oh, I see you posted that post with the topic of "Coleman E. Howard the Real
Deal" with those "edited replies" where you so "carefully" took out all
your cursing, inserted them at a web site, and then posted the "two" URLs so
everybody could see how "smart" you are/were. Well, it seems like those
*two* URLs backfired right in your smacker. And for all I know, they are
still backfiring. You even included a counter in your *highly* edited
posting of my replies, real cute. However, the counter in the other URL,
that you so devilishly posted is running out of numbers. Haw, haw, haw.

Also, I see a couple people are saying how "gross" that other URL was, well,
I am going to post to them, and *remind* them, that I didn't post those URLs
to the RSG, that was all your bright idea to slam, and smear me. They need
to put the blame squarly where it belongs, right in your lap. Do me a favor,
the next time you get the bright idea to post URLs to bash, slam, and smear
somebody, at least try to know what you are doing. You were out your league
as usual messing with me, and don't you ever forget it either. Haw, haw, haw

Lastly, Golfnhead, when you are walking down the street with you head held
low, and somebody asked you why you look so bad? Tell them you made the big
mistake of trying to take on Coleman, and got busted big time. Haw, haw,
haw.

This is what usually happens when a conservative runs up against a liberal.
The conservative bites the dust! Now, I know why my mind never gets old, it
is so much *fun* being young at heart.
Ho ho ho

bye Golfnhead, tell them were you got it from to!.

Coleman.

Scott, for a while there, your post seemed to be fair and scolding both
sides, but then you start banging me about racism. I reply to what I think
are racist post. I think I have heard several popular posters state this "I
am not going to let that post go unchallenged" pure and simple. Again, if
your post, that is supposed to be neutral, you seems to take a side, and
then proceed to use all caps. Also, I know nobody cares about what I do,
wear, drive, look like and such, but you should also post to the other side,
about nobody cares about them thinking I am a bitter or miserable person.
Sheesh, I haven't told the half of it. I have so much to tell, I could write
books, but that is another story. I play golf monthly. I have just as much
right to read in the RSG as anybody else. Also, I have just as much right to
reply to a racist, political, or post that I think I can offer an opinion
on.

The next time you post a post that is supposed to be calming, try to be
"neutral" in your comments, your message would have more credence. And
also, stop using all the caps.

That's a great idea. Write a book. PLEASE write a book!!! That ought keep

Didn't you just write a few days ago that you never tell others what to say?

And here you go again telling people what to say. Again!

Hi Jim. I also really like golf. In fact,
I really really really like golf. That is the
slogan of the USGA - not a brilliant slogan, IMHO.

Why do you like golf?

Here is one reason why I like golf... My 6-year-old
boy recently took a shower all by himself for the
first time. You should have seen his face when he
was finished and came running out all squeaky-clean
and just reveling in the joy of his accomplishment.
He excitedly related the tale of his task, the obstacles
he ran into, how he overcame them, and just glowing with
pride. All around smiled broad smiles, and appreciated
and shared his excitement.

Well, as an adult, I don't have much opportunity to
act or think that way. If I acted like that every time
I fixed a bug in some software or met a deadline... well,
I would be regarded as rather strange. (Ok - strangER :-)

But when I make a cool flop shot to a tight pin, or
pure a 3-iron down the middle, or pound a drive that
soars forever -- my mind becomes the Mind of a Child,
and I glow... I revel in my accomplishment... I relate
my tale of success at the 19th hole... I become 6 years
old and my golfing buddies appreciate my tale and share
their own.

Then, when back in the real world, I can face the boring,
the humdrum, the frustrating tasks... aided by
The Mind of a Child that resides within.

That is one reason I like golf. How about you?

David, that's a great way to think about golf. Although I think my wife
sometimes tires of my detailed accounts of my rounds. She does smile
indulgently and say thing like "wow that's great". Come to think of it she
sounds allot like she does when she is talking to our nieces.
After reading you post I realized that one reason I really like golf is
because it is so damn hard. I hate not being good at the things I do and
golf continues to taunt me with really difficult challenges. I have this
belief that one day I'll wipe that superior smile off the golf god's faces.
We can all dream, right? :>)
I also like the fact that golf provides an excuse for me and my friends to
take four hours out of our perpetually busy days and hangout with each other
without feeling like we should be doing something "constructive". There is
this one friend I golf with who is a much, much better athlete than I am but
cannot figure out how to swing a club. It is great to be better a one sport
than him. Also I have met some really cool old guys and ladies during my
5:30 am practice half rounds.

I have a few reasons.....<g>

I like golf for all of the different people that I've met through the game.
To what degree I've enjoyed their company is regardless...they have taught
me a lot about myself and to respect others. I like that a round of golf is
often a vehicle for seeing old friends and meeting new ones.

I like golf for its aspect of never-ending learning about my swing.

I like golf for the fact that I get to go outside and "play" (whether that
be playing nine holes or practicing my short game or taking a lesson) almost
everyday after being at my desk for 8-10 hours. It really does remind me of
the mindset of being in grade school waiting anxiously for recess. I
usually don't care what the weather is like--I just like going "outside to
play".

I like golf for its emotional roller coaster ride.

I like golf because I don't have to be fast, tall and strong to be a decent
player. Chances are, it's a game I can play until the day I die.

I like golf because of it's history--the great players and the great
courses.

I like golf for that last round of the season in November at my home course
and the leaves on the ground. I like golf for that anticipation of the
course opening in February/March. For watching that first round of the
Masters on that first Thursday in April--then you KNOW that the golf season
has started even though it still may be 40 degrees outside! :-)

I like golf for those rounds when you don't lose a golf ball!

I like golf for those trouble shots or creative short game shots that come
off exactly like you pictured in your mind.

I like that I can play golf just about anywhere I travel and that many times
it IS my excuse to travel! :-)

I like golf in that I always have a wish list of courses I want to play, and
equipment that I want try/buy.

Yes, another thing I really like about golf is that
it makes me comfortable even around people I don't know. The
little routines and courtesies an expressions... I personally
am not very comfortable in social situations with somebody that I
don't know, but at the golf course - not a problem. I love to
meet and play with other people, which is why I hold RSG-OHIO every
year - to reaquaint with golfers I met at previous events, and to
meet new ones.

Hey, today I found another reason to like golf. My driver works again and
not just on the range! Straight too, ok a little fade an the very end, but
pretty dam straight. I was out driving this guy who usually smokes his ball
past me. Not only that but I remembered how to chip and put all on the
same day. Now if weren't for that damn bunker and that water hazard it
would have been nirvana. Happy, Happy Joy, Joy

Which one?

My interest in golf consist of weekends with my neighbors, and I am the
person that
always has the *worst* score. So, when they take me along, I am the *whippin
post*. Plus, they get a chance to ask me those crazy questions, like why do
I wash my car at 4 a.m in the morning? Why do I do pushups with my feet up
on the hood of the car? Is that girl they see me with all the time, my
daughter? :-) However, I get my revenge at the monthly poker games. I read a
book, and still win all the chump change.

ps, which homepage you talking about golfnhead (mike)???

I love the eternal optimism of golf. Every time we go out, we keep thinking
"today is the day." Maybe to break 70 for some of you luckier folks, maybe
to break 120 for others. But we keep thinking that it's going to happen. I
also love the way you can completely get into the game and practice. When
I'm having a bad day at work, I can leave for lunch, go to the range and hit
a bucket of balls. I may leave the range dripping in sweat with my arms very
tired, but I will always go back to work a lot happier than when I showed up
on the range. Lastly, I think the opportunity to meet different people is
wonderful. I don't always like every person I'm paired up with by the
starter, but I've had some thoroughly enjoyable rounds with absolute
strangers.

I sometimes feel like this on the course in my league - YAWN.
Play is very slow and it is just after work so I sometimes
have trouble getting 'up' for the round. Very hard to concentrate,
etc - my mind is tired from work and my body stiff from sitting
at my 'puter.

Well, league is over for the year, but I wish I knew how to
snap out of this funk - I always play very poorly when I
feel this way, but have never succeeded in re-focusing except
one time when I almost eagled the second hole and then chipped
in on the third hole (or similar - that woke me up!).

Still to early to tell! :-) I'm a novice (albeit a 48 yr old one) who
is still learning the game at the driving range. I can play at the
Corpus Christi Naval Air Station course which isn't the greatest but
the price is right ($55.00 a month unlimited play). The muni's get
pretty crowded when the "Winter Texans" start arriving, and there are
usually lots of cries for an additional course at that time of year.

The Corpus Christi Country Club has a nice course but it's members
only. Touring pro Phil Blackmar calls it his home course, and it
happens that the CEO/Priciple Owner of the company I work for recently
won the club championship. It would follow that there is a pretty
strong golf culture in our organization, and I'd love to get good
enough to get a slot in some of the charity tournament foursomes the
company buys into. But, alas, there are plenty ahead of me now! :-)

I'm really getting into the challenge of learning this game. I've
been though other cycles of sports participation (softball,
racquetball, running, and cycling),and I've managed to all of those
pretty well. I just think golf has the potential to be something I
will be doing for a long time to come.
