No it isn't. You're wrong as usual. It is patched together from
sentences from a larger passage that appears on pp. 30-31.
Here is the whole passage:
The Revolution that had freed the Jews from the Pale of Settlement
and that included the first enactment of juridicial measures against
pogroms and the anti-Semitic movement also led to a cultural break with
the Jewish traditon. Almost overnight, intermarriage and assimilation
became the goal of increasing numbers of newly liberated Jews.
Immediately after the Revolution, many Jews were euphoric over their
high representation in the new government. Lenin's first Politburo was
dominated by men of Jewish origins: Trotsky, the leader of the
Petrograd coup and the founder of the Red Army; Kamenev, and Zinoviev,
Lenin's righthand man despite "the betrayal." Sverdlov was now
president of the Party's Central Committee , and Karl Radek, Maxim
Litvinov, A. A. Yoffe and others all held prominent positions. With the
exception of Litvinov, they all registered their nationalities as Great
Russian, not Jewish. In spite of their quasi-humanistic preachings
about the "Jewish problem," the Jewish Marxists were, in the view of a
Russian Zionist contemporary, a group of bullies, "intolerant of the
hunger for national freedom, the attachment to cultural traditions,
which others felt. Liberators of the world, they repressed with
ridicule and the weight of numbers those whom they called the minority,
but who happened to represent the actual majority of the Jewish people."
There would always be Jews who loved Russia despite her cruelty to
them. Under Lenin, Jews became involved in all aspects of the
Revolution, including its dirtiest work. Despite the Communists' vows
to eradicate anti-Semitism, it spread rapidly after the Revolution -
partly because of the prominence of so many Jews in the Soviet
administration, as well as in the traumatic, inhuman Sovietization
drives that followed. Historian Salo Baron has noted that an
immensely disproportionate number of Jews joined the new Bolshevik
secret police, the Cheka, "perhaps in subconscious retaliation for the
many years of suffering at the hands of the Russian police." And many
of those who fell afoul of the Cheka would be shot by Jewish
investigators. Even at the height of Stalin's anti-Jewish campaign from
1948 to 1953, the anti-Semitic dictator would use some Jews against
their people. And Jewish secret policemen would work against other Jews
into the 1980's, entrapping those who identified with Israel and the
Jewish people."

Not exactly, although I could see how a neo-Nazi could mine those pages

I walk past the Tulane University library on the way back from teaching
on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, so I only had to go a few minutes
out of my way to obtain Rapoport's book. The over-all concern of the
book, as one might guess from the title, is Soviet anti-Semitism under
Stalin. It ends with a discussion of Stalin's final anti-Semitic plan,
a Nazi-esque mass exile of Soviet Jewry which (thank G-d) never took
place because of his death.
