Halley's comet found October 16, 1982 by a team at Caltech
headed by grad student D. Jewett, staff G. Danielson.
Reported in latest issue of Planetary Report complete with
picture. P.R. is Carl Sagan's non-profit organization.

The article mentions among other things that the sighting was
done at Palomar with the PFUEI Prime Focus Universal Extragalactic
Instrument using CCDs.
