Steven L. Hayes was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas in 1947, and graduated
from Northside High School in 1965. He obtained a B.A. in History with
honors at the University of Arkansas in 1969. In 1969, Hayes opened an
Evelyn Wood Reading Dynamics Franchise in Arkansas. In 1970, he moved
to California and worked in financial planning and was instrumental in
developing and marketing investment packages for the scientologists. In
1976, Hayes enrolled in Sothern Methodist University Law School in
Dallas, Texas, and in 1977 transferred to the University of San
Francisco Law School, where he received his LL.B law degree with honors
in 1979. He was admitted to practice law in California that same year.
Hayes’ areas of specialization are business acquisitions and general
business.

According to biographical information posted by the Citizens For An
Alternative Tax System [CATS], which he helped found, Mr. Hayes “began
advising clients with respect to the income tax code in 1973”, despite
the fact that he did not have his law degree at the time.

Hayes and his wife Paula M. Hayes own their house at 1015 Oneonta Drive,
Los Angeles, California 90065. They paid $316,000 for the home, the
deed for which was recorded on May 8, 1992. It is a single family home
that in 1995 had an assessed land value of $157,000 and an assessed
improvement value of $193,000 for a total assessed value of $350,000.
In 1996, the assessments were the same. In 1997, the assessments fell:
the land value was $138,000, the improvement value was $169,000 and the
total assessed value was $307,000. The house was built in 1986, with a
building area of 3693 square feet. It has four bedrooms and four baths
and central air-conditioning.

Steven Hayes was or is the partner in the firm of Bowles & Hayes, a
partnership located at 1015 Oneonta Drive, Los Angeles, California. The
Bowles referred to is Timothy Bowles. Bowles and Hayes is registered
with the California State Board of Equalization under number
AP971737540000. Their phone number is 213-255-8878, their fax number is
213-662-6419, and also 818-546-5047.

[It is possible that Timothy Bowles and Steven Hayes are cousins or
other close relatives because there is a trust called Hayes Family
Partners L.P, and a co-trustee of the Hayes family is Joyce Bowles Hayes
of Calistoga, California. This Partnership was formed in California on
December 31, 1998, and is located at 106 Petrified Forest Road,
Calistoga California 94515. The agent for the trust is Robert D. Hayes
at 106 Petrified Forest Road, Calistoga, California 94515. But it is
also possible that this is an unrelated family and set of trust
entities.]

Steven Hayes is also the registered agent and mailing address for JTP
Films, of which John Travolta is the President. JTP was incorporated on
April 19, 1978, the name was changed on July 31, 1978 from Travolta
Productions, and the files contain a number of amendments and changes,
including the most recent on September 28, 1998 when a certificate of
amendment was files.

Paula M. Hayes is the registered agent for Theta Engineering, 100 Kalmus
Drive, Costa Mesa, California 92626, which was incorporated on January
12, 1996 as corporate number 1957315. The officers’ statement was filed
on February 3, 1997 as file number 64424. The President of Theta
Engineering is Brad Peeters [aka Bradford D. Peeters], 3029 Jeffrey
Drive #A, Costa Mesa, California 92626, and a co-owner has been Roger
J. Rickery, in a fictitious name filing in Orange County which expried
in 1998 under file number 576700.

Another entity formed by Steven Hayes is the 76 Corporation, doing
business as World of Sleep, 1015 Oneonta Drive, Los Angeles, California
90065. A judgment lien on the 76 Corporation was filed by Century
Communications, A Corporation, 24012 Calle De La Plata #230, c/o the Law
Offices of Carles B. Carey, L.C., Laguna Hills, California 92563-7610.
[This means that Century Communications won a court judgment against the
76 Corporation.] The lien was filed recently, on February 19, 1999
under filing number 9906160489.

Steven L. Hayes also works for Leahy and Associates, a California
business consulting firm. On the Leahy website, it states “ Mr.
Hayes...has developed a practice that concentrates on dealing with the
acquisition and reorganization of successful and financially distressed
companies. Steve has also developed a practice in Mergers and
Acquisitions. He has concluded several transactions in values over a
half a billion dollars. His clear and perceptive understanding of even
the most complex deals, expedites completions and improves value. He
developed his reputation PRIOR TO AND DURING LAW SCHOOL. IT IS THROUGH
REFERRALS FROM THESE COMPANIES THAT HE DEVELOPED AN IMMEDIATELY
SUCCESSFUL PRACTICE. SOME OF HIS TRANSACTIONS HAVE EXCEEDED ONE BILLION
DOLLARS. [emphasis added] Mr. Hayes’s clients include insurance
companies, banks, oil and gas companies, marketing companies, companies
that own and manage race horses and motion picture companies.”

Steven and Paula Hayes are also involved in the Citizens for an
Alternative Tax System, a “grassroots” tax protest organization formed
on October 22, 1990, and located at 10600A Crestwood Drive, Manassas,
Virginia 20109. Steven Hayes is listed as the registered agent of the
organization and President, Paula Hayes as Treasurer, and Glenn Wahlqist
as the Secretary. The Chief Executive Officer of CATS is Victor Krohn
at the Manassas address. [Victor Krohn is listed as the President in
the California filing, but CEO in the Virginia state filing.] The most
recent officers statement was filed on August 10, 1998 as file number
366322, and the CATS corporate number is 1674691. See section below on
Victor Krohn.

Bowles and Hayes are registered agents for a couple of companies. One
is Enchanted Woods Quality Hardwood Flooring, which was incorporated
recently on December 11, 1998. The California Secretary of State
corporate number is 2127701.

Another such company is Futurelink, Inc., which was incorporated in
Nevada but registered with the California Secretary of State on January
5, 1999. The California Corporate number is 2129592.

Hayes and his wife also own property in Visalia-Tulare-Porterville,
Tulare County, California which they bought on November 18, 1997 for
$61,000 from Donald Lewis Mead, 4609 Highland Hills Street, Bakersfield,
California 93309. They recorded the deed on January 28, 1998, on
document number 98-005650. The property is not described but it may be
several small lots becuse there are several assessors parcel numbers
including 345-190-023. It is Lot 76, RS9 PG73. The seller gave them a
take back mortgage in the amount of $36,000.

Hayes also borrowed money from The Amazon Trust for a piece of property
at 17222 Wilton Place, Torrance, California. He purchased the property
on approximately September 30, 1997, on document 97-1507564, assessors
parcel number 4094-016-007. He also borrowed money from another entity,
The Ring Trust.

At one time a few years ago, Hayes’ address was 1321 Greenbriar Road,
Glendale, California 91207.

Hayes had a tax lien in the amount of $598 imposed on him by the State
of California which was entered on August 10, 1992 and released on
December 4, 1992, under certificate W921830015.

VICTOR KROHN SECTION

[Victor Krohn is also a principal and Treasurer for George & Sons Steel
Inc., a building contractor located at P.O. Box 23760, Phoenix, Arizona
85063, which is registered with the California Contractors State License
Board. The principals for this company are Charles E. George, Jr.,
Vicki G. Hohnbaum, Viola Lee Nordgren, Bradley Gene George, Charles E.
George, Sr., Victor F. Krohn, Norris E. Ream, and Gloria June George.
This might be a different Victor Krohn.]

1606 West Indian School Road, Phoenix, Arizona 85015, for a
oil-drilling?? company registered on May 1, 1964 called Apache
Exploration Corporation, Route 2, Boise City, Oklahoma 93933. The 1988
annual report and the 1987 annual report are both available on
microfische from the Arizona Secretary of State under microfische number
14510080038 and 03680250003, respectively. This might be a different
Victor Krohn.]

loan with a Mr. Antonino DiPasquale, 3496 Victor, Las Vegas, Nevada
89121, which ws filed with the Illinois Secretary of State on October
29, 1993 and which expired on October 29, 1998.]

born on July 11, 1946 in Columbus, Ohio and graduated from UCLA with a
History degree in 1968. Krohn worked as a systems engineer and
associate account representative for UCLA with IBM, founding editor of
California Computer News, editor of the Orangevale News, Director of
Public Information at the San Juan Unified School District in
Sacramento, California. In 1990, with Steven Hayes and Brendan
Haggerty, he helped found CATS. He lives in Manassas, Virginia with his
wife Vicki and their two children Kelley and Matt.]

Didn't Steven Hayes purchase the CAN assets's for $20,000 fromf the CAN
bankruptcy sale? Isn't the Church of Scientology now running a CAN hotline and
'cult' information service? so...who owns CAN now, Steven Hayes or the Church
of Scientology. This may be of importance to future litigation which is coming
down the line.
