Dude. Seriously.

Went to see "Fuddy Meers" tonight, and was so very thoroughly entertained that
you wouldn't believe me if I told you. <g> Just go see it for yourself if it is
at all possible-- not only is Mark absolutely fucking hilarious in it, but the
whole thing is strange and funny and just pretty damn brilliant. It's like....
Cheshire-cat weirdness.

I'd tell you about it, but it really rather has to unfold.

And, you know, I've always said Mark is just the best screamer (think Sex Girl
Patrol preacher, Scott's android advancing on him, etc), and as a fan of The
Mark Scream, I was NOT disappointed tonight.

AND, the whole puppet thing-- the voice for the puppet, totally new Mark
voice. How often do we get to hear that? Eh?

It was just a brilliant, brilliant night. I'm so glad I went. I need to go
again, with my mom, who will love it when I make her go.

Tavie (rhymes with GRAVY), who is once again haunted by the pear dream.

I want to see this. Why can't Broadway be a bit closer to the southwest? Glad
you had a lovely time! :)

I feel validated now. <g> Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous play...and Mark is
just the best added bonus I could possibly ask for.

Ooh, I KNEW there was something I forgot to mention! And he screams in
BOTH voices...it's great. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAUGH! YOU'RE KILLING HIM!"

God, just thinking of that still makes me laugh like a nutcase.

And it must be heard to be believed - it's just so evil. Love it.

I really do need to see it again, too. Gotta catch the million little
things I missed the first time 'cause I was laughing too hard. Bleh.
How'm I supposed to fit this and a Lang open house and a Sarah Lawrence
visit and The Scarlet Pimpernel into less then two days? Damned if I
know, but I'm going to have to...

Totally. TOTALLY. They were all really so good. That kid knocked the hell out
of me, and Gertie. GEEZUM.

And, hey, great incidental music by Jason Robert Brown, eh? ;)

>"AAAAAAAAAAAAAUGH! YOU'RE KILLING HIM!"

LMAO!!
I went with Ade, and she actually SCREAMED at the same time that Millet did
when they... you know. <g>
I'm sorry I told, Ade, but it was SO funny. :D

Poor, poor Hinky Binky.

"I am a TERRIBLE guard!"

So, you know, this spring, Janeane Garofalo is joining the cast. As the
"police" woman I guess?

How awesome will that be?

Keith Nobbs is always, always great. He's going to be really huge - well,
once he's, y'know, legal. <g> And Gertie kills EVERYONE. Her stroke talk
on the phone had me in tears.

Well, all thirty seconds or so of it...

Weeeeeeeeeeell...I sort of did, too...so no shame there!

Nope. That's some other play altogether, by the same guy, as yet
untitled. This play's closing December 12. Blah.

I really thought I was the only one amused by my own screaming when poor Hinky
Binky was jeopardized <g>.

Obviously, I agree with the good reviews. It was hilarious, everyone in it was
*terrific,* it was thought-provoking and silly both. Mark was, naturally,
marvelous. He was just so right for that part (those parts?). Just excellent.

Now I am home and recovering from the trip, with well over 200 posts in this
newsgroup alone (argh!). But I wanna go right back to NYC and see the play
again. It's just too good to see only once. If you people out there in
alt.kithland can possibly do it, you should see the play. Fantastic.

Ade (who liked it)
