This is a short piece I wrote to honor the man who gave us Moe The
Bartender on The Simpsons and Starscream on The Transformers. We still
miss you down here, Buddy.
FOR CHRIS
Ever blue the sky is gray,
Your sad sweet smile now fades away from my view,
And all that is you is gone save for your voice.
I saw you in your true guise once or twice,
Your face spoke volumes to me.
You wanted happiness but got so little,
You wanted peace but had so few peaceful days.
In my eyes much of me is in you,
But you are gone, a fading image washed away
beneath the sea bed.
But your voice lingers on. it will always linger on.
