RHat 8, KDE 3.0.3, Konqueror and Samba

Hi guys,

I have a small home network, including a samba fileserver which exports
my user account. I can browse the samba share using smbclient or
Nautilus.

However, when I try to browse the share using Konqueror, it seems to
just sit in a loop waiting for response.

I used ethereal to find out what was happening.

Konqueror successfully logs in after prompting me for username and
password. Then, it sends a 'check directory request' with path set to \.
The samba server response with a success message. After 5 seconds,
konqueror sends yet another request, and so on, every 5 seconds.

Anybody had the same issue?
