Don't ask why i am just wondering how to delete a *.dll file in a system
folder in XP ,
as "window file protection" keeps restoring it i have XP on a NTFS partition
so it
can't be done in DOS from my 98 partition (or can it). Basically i am not
fully up with
the NT kernel and its security etc.

Boot into safemode and do it.

IF that dosn't work install recovery console and do it from there,
it has absolutely no system file protection.

System file protection only works on the XP OS files and deleting those
manually is not on.

What is the dll and why do you want to delete it?
