Intro: Russian Foreign Minister Andrei Kozyrev Says Russian,
U-S, And German Leaders Have Been In Close Contact To Bring About
A New International Effort To End The War In Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Alena Kenclova In Prague Reports The Russian Official Spoke
During A Visit To The Czech Capital.

Text: Mr. Kozyrev Said The Russian-Sponsored Peace Initiative
Should Be Aimed At Strengthening The U-N Declared Security Zones
In Bosnia-Herzegovina And Subsequently Implementing The Peace
Plan Put Forward By The European Union.

Mr. Kozyrev Said All The Fighting Parties In Bosnia-Herzegovina
Should Withdraw Their Forces And Put Their Heavy Artillery Under
U-N Control. He Said That Once This Is Accomplished, The
International Community Should Undertake Political And
Diplomatic Efforts To Implement A Peaceful Solution.

The Russian Official Said The Solution Should Be Based More Or
Less On The European Union Peace Formula. He Said This Would
Preserve The Integrity Of Bosnia-Herzegovina By Creating Three
Entities Within It. He Said The Plan Is Very Close To Solution
And Therefore It Is Better To Stick To It Rather Than Start The
Negotiations All Over Again.

Mr. Kozyrev Told News Reporters He Was In Contact With U-S
Secretary Of State Warren Christopher While President Boris
Yeltsin Had Talked By Telephone With German Chancellor Helmut
Kohl And Other Leaders. He Said He Also Discussed The Peace
Moves With Czech Foreign Minister Jozef Zieleniec (Yoh-Zef
Zhel-Eh-Nyets) During Their Talks On Saturday.

Mr.Kozyrev Appeared Confident That There Would Be No Nato
Bombing Of Serb Positions. He Made His Remarks In Prague As 400
Russian Paratroopers Began Moving From Their Base In Croatia To
Join A U-N Force In Sarajevo. (Signed)
