What does the .JIA file format stands for?

What does the .JIA file format stands for, and what graphics program
should I have on my computer to view such a file.

My friend sent me a file, over the internet, that contains the file
extension .JIA. She said its a file from her video camera. My Windows
XP doesn't recognize it. I want to view the pictures she send me but I
don't know what graphics program to install to be able to open the
file properly.
