You know when the money's good, other arguments often pale. It's not as
if these adult and racy ways to make a living are the only way to make a
buck, they're not. But usually it's not as if you need alot of training
in years and years of schooling to do it, and if you're willing to put
up with the clientel, the condemnation of family and friends, and you
think you won't go to Hell for this, well then it's not hard to see why
some young people who don't see alot of other financial opportunities
before them, choose this world of erotic entertainment. The money's
good, sometimes real good, and the works not too tough. But those who do
choose this line of endeavor must know that like with anything else,
there are consequences. If you make a living taking off your clothes,
all kinds of future opportunities become limited, from careers to
personal relationships. It's not exactly the scarlet letter on your
forehead, but most people in the business will tell you that it's
awefully difficult to have a significant lasting romantic relationship.
The career is rather short, you wind up often lying about what you do,
hiding it all from family and friends. Few of the people in this
business will honestly tell you that they're proud of what they do, or
what they've become. Yeah the money is good, but the costs, may be even
higher. Till next time take care of yourself, and each other.
Anyone in the business care to correct Jerry's way of thinking? Anyone
want his E-Mail address?

Bianca Trump would probably agree with him, but Eden Rae wouldn't.
Remember, Jerry Springer is a man who got caught on tape jerking off for
a porn star and her step-mom, while he was trying to reconcile with his
ex-wife, who left him for cheating on her with a hooker, that he paid
with a check. Talk about a strange series of events.

This seems to apply to those seeking relaitonships outside of the "industry"
they're in. Adult stars seem to associate with their own and have
realtionships within the industry. As for strippers and whatnot, that's
another matter, I'd guess that Springer's point can be both supported and
rejected. It's like saying "people aren't staying married as long anymore"
True, some aren't, but then again some are. Depends on where you look. That
being said, next point:

Once again this is subjective. I'm sure you can find people who are proud of
what they do and find just as many who aren't. There are people who are
proud to work in a gas station just as there are those who are ashamed to do
so. Once again, just depends on where you look.
All in all, good ol' Jerry didn't make any ground breaking claims here.
Basically all he said was that "Sexuality is still for the most part a taboo
in this society, and those that openly flaunt it are often looked down upon
in this country." Not exactly Kant, is he? Thanks for the insight, Jerry.
I think I'm going to go back to make sure that the sky is still blue before
someone takes credit for telling me it is....

As a woman who cam into X by choice, not a lack there of, I do think it is
ludicrous for him to preach morality. I started X with TWO masters degrees,
which I got for MYSELF, not with any intention of working 9 to 5. I came into
X and still continued my mainstream acting and modeling career. Why? Because
my mainstream reputation is so good that I could.
I came into X knowing the $ was not that great for talent, but is in
producing. So what did I do? I started performing with the intention of
producing. It was a conscious choice, notn a last resort.
My father knows what I do, both dancing and X videos, and is 100% supportive.
He has worked as my bouncer when I was stuck because my usual roadie was ill.
I have never wanted to, or had to lie about what I do. I never felt the need,
becuase I feel no shame about what I do for a living. I think it is perfectly
healthy.

Yeah being lectured to by a guy who thrives on the bottom of the
barrel shenanigans of the underclass really is either the biggest case
of chutzpah or hypocrisy
