Edgar Cayce Jr. was born to Leslie Burr & Carrie
Elizabeth Major-Cayce, approximately 3:20 PM LMT
(GMT -5:50:06) Sunday afternoon 18 March 1877 AD.
Cayce's son Hugh Lynn said that "dad always told
us it was closer to 3 o'clock". Notably 3:20 LMT
is about 3:10 EST, as time is counted today. His
foremost biographers cite 3:20 is his birth time
(e.g. Kirkpatrick's 'Cayce, an American Prophet')
and so is used for calculation of the natal chart
presented herein. Consider these pertinent facts:
"..From an astrological aspect, then, the greater
influence at the entrance of this entity that ye
call Cayce was from Uranus. Here we find the
extremes. . . Then in the Uranian sojourn there
are the influences from the astrological aspects
of extremes; and counted in thy own days from the
very position of that attunement, that tone, that
color. For it is not strange that music, color,
vibration, are all a part of the planets, just
as the planets are a part--and a pattern--of
the whole universe..."[ref. 5755-001]
"..from that of Uranus, with the elements of Venus,
Neptune, Jupiter and Mercury, with the affliction
in Mars and Saturn."[ref. 0294-019]
The themate (today called the "horoscope") of this
astronomical birthchart clearly shows Uranus to be
Cayce's planetary souljourn. His readings on this
confirm what strict astronomic calculation proves,
as with -any- astronomically calculated horoscope,
albeit some charts aren't so easily deduced as is
Cayce's--even as Dr. Nostradamus readily admitted
(and no greater an astronomer-astrologer ever was).
As we find, Cayce's Piscean Sun is in the twelfth
house of the themate with exalted Venus. Remember,
the twelfth house is ruled by Neptune, and who is
in the first house of Cayce's themate adjacent to
the twelfth where Venus is the most serene, hence
the term "exaltation". Note both houses connected
via caelestial Pisces in Cayce's chart; note also
the Moon is there with Neptune in the first house.
Next, we find Jupiter is in Sagittarius ruling in
the ninth house of the themate, with Mars therein
just aloft Cayce's natal vertex, noting that Mars
is square to part of fortune--fallen in the sixth
house! Charitable Jupiter over-rules selfish Mars
in this horoscope. Cayce was born to be a "giver"
not a "taker". Consider this fine reading excerpt:
"(Q) In consideration of the fact that Edgar Cayce
is devoting his entire time to the work, give the
reason for his not being able to obtain sufficient
financial support for him and his family's material
sustenance, and how may he, Edgar Cayce, correct
this condition?
(A) Live closer to Him, who giveth all good and
perfect gifts, and ask and ye shall receive; knock
and it shall be opened unto you. Give and it shall
be returned four-fold. Give, give, give, if you
would receive. There has never been the lack of
necessities, neither will there be, so long as
adhering to the Lord's way is kept first and
foremost."[ref. 0254-011]
This is not to "blame" Mars for selfish acts, but
rather is to point out the predominant tendencies
revealed through ad-judication of Cayce's themate.
The inclination to be giving empowered by Jupiter,
the urge to sustain or perpetuate self attenuated
by the desire to help others. That's all it means.
Mars had already transited the cusp about 3:03 PM
LMT--two minutes before Uranus' first rising, and
Mercury had transited the cusp about 3:07 PM LMT,
so Mars and Mercury are definitively past transit
into their respective houses at the time of birth
(Cayce's souljourn occurred at the time of birth,
as most of us do, others within a few hours after
their moment of birth, but always WITHIN 24 hours
as each natal horoscope per time of birth reveals).
The primary focus is Saturn who transits the cusp
to join Mercury and head of the dragon about 3:11
LMT (i.e. ~3:01 EST) with Uranus rising just over
the ascendant. Uranus is first conjunct ascendant
about 3:05 PM LMT (~2:55 EST), thus rectification
of the horoscope and birth time is tied to Saturn,
at least five to six minutes after Uranus' rising.
3:11 PM LMT is ~3:01 PM EST, so the time of birth
must be after 3:11 PM LMT--just a 9-minute window
before 3:20 PM per reports of Cayce's biographers.
Saturn is the astronomical "trigger" of the birth
in this chart. Saturn's ingress into the eleventh
house admits this themate of Jupiter ruling ninth.
Before Saturn's transit, the horoscope would have
Mercury 6 & Venus 7 ruling, Sun & Moon debilitate,
Jupiter & Saturn exalting. Thus, in Cayce's chart,
Saturn has transited the eighth cusp from seventh
house into the eleventh house of this astro-theme.
Also notably, Saturn is in close sextile aspect of
Mars and the Moon (trine one another in close orb).
Saturn & Uranus co-rule the eleventh house by the
astronomical hierarchy, with Uranus superior, and
Saturn inferior (Saturn's superior house is tenth).
Notably, the head of the dragon is ruling eleventh
house therewith co-ruling Saturn & exalted Mercury,
and Uranus, who rules over the eleventh house, and
over caelestial Aquarius, is the only planet who is
in retrograde motion and is the souljourning planet.

from his father's older brother Edgar, who was a
regular visitor. Dr. John L. Dulin was resident
physician (of Beverly), present at Edgar's birth.
