As if there wasn't enough stuff going on next weekend, here's another
show worth attending:

"A Backyard Barbecue" will take place on the afternoon of Sat., July 30.
The event is at He's Not Here on Franklin Street. (HNH is wedged in
between Pizza Hut and Bruegger's/Ben&Jerry's. If you need more specific
directions, mail me). Since He's Not Here is an outdoor bar, this should be
a loose, fun eat-drink-and-watch-bands affair. The cost is a mere dollar
($ 1.00 !), and all profits go to benefit WXYC.

Things should get underway around 2 pm. The four bands playing are, in order:

Speed McQueen, Joby's Opinion, The Raymond Brake, and Minerva Strain

(The Raymond Brake are a hot Greensboro band. The other 3 are from Chapel
Hill. All are recommended, though I'm in one of them, so use your
standard HYPE disclaimer response here)

There should be a lot of food, too, cooked by master chef Bob Boster.
Grilled hot dogs/burgers, hopefully some of that great Trash Day chili,
and who knows, maybe even some barbecue.

Bring your friends. If you're from out of town and you're visiting for
MergeFest, by all means, come. This thing is in the afternoon so that
there is a nice Chapel Hill-style outdoor fun event for people to attend
in between those smoke-filled nights at the Cradle.

This should be lots of fun. For more info, directions, or answers to
other questions, email me at : ro...@gibbs.oit.unc.edu

Thanks to those of you who've already helped me out with this.

Thank you,

Tim
