InterCon and PSI begin shipping IP Macintosh. software for InterRampSM
Atlanta, GA - September 12, 1994 - Networld+Interop 1994 -- Performance
Systems International, Inc. (PSI) announced today that they are shipping TCP/
Connect II for InterRamp software from InterCon Systems Corporation from
Herndon, VA. The personal Internet access software for the Apple. Macintosh.
personal computer that works seamlessly with the InterRamp personal dial-up IP
services announced by Performance Systems International, Inc. (PSI) May 4,
1994. InterCon's new software product, TCP/Connect II. for InterRamp, offers
a familiar and feature-rich front-end for individual users of the PSI service
to access the global data resources of the Internet.
Unlike an on-line service, InterRamp offers customers the ability to run the
latest applications by connecting directly to the Internet. ISDN's 64 Kbps
performance advantage allows for multimedia delivery of Internet services that
no analog modem or on-line service can offer.
With the launch of InterRamp, PSI is offering customers a special,
introductory package, called the Pioneer Preference. The package includes
three months of service offered with a variety of compatible software,
including TCP/Connect II for InterRamp, for $200.00. The package pricing
includes a one-time registration fee of $29; three months of service with
unlimited usage at $29 per month, and software. Customers can take advantage
of the Pioneer Preference offer through December 31, 1994.
