Well, I think many of your problems may be stemming from fact that any version
of Hypercard lower the 2.0 don't work correctly with system 7. They will work,
but...changing fonts in the background layer causes the program and entire
computer crashes (and produces some very cute graphics). So...\
Buy HyperCard 2.0 or above.
