I only finished it because Maria (maria1971) kept
on my case to do so. So if you enjoy it, you can
thank her for nagging me almost daily to write it.
If you don’t like it, you can blame me. But of
course that would mean that you’d have to write
and tell me that.

Glad to see a new story from you, but a favor please: don't use curly
quotes in your stories. They don't work over the net. One solution,
since Word is so hard to work with these days, is to save your story as
"ASCII text" before you copy and paste it. Another is to compose in
Notepad/Wordpad.

While Maria's point -- commenting to this NG is no substitute for an
actual note of thanks from a reader, (I got one from Chazz, too.) the
reverse is also true. Some writers -- I for one -- would like to see a
discussion of their stories -- pros. cons. whys, and why nots. In a
separate post I have suggested that we discuss this very story. As for
the remark that few authors read ASSD, maybe it's because we so seldom
discuss stories.
Cheers,
Homer
