It has a tendency to make you burp and taste really yucky so if you can get a
brand with peppermint oil in it it's much better. Email for the name of the
brand I use. It's a national brand and I don't sell it.

I tried the Omega 3's (fish oil) for 18 months. Didn't help at all.

Laurie, what your probably after for RA is a source of omega-3 fatty
acids. 4 ounces of salmon contains about 3600 miligrams. There are a
variety of brands to choose from if you want to supplement and you could
consider flaxseed oil as it is rich in omega-3. The problem with cod-liver
oil as diane mentioned is the potential to overdose on vit.A and D. I get
most of mine with lots of salmon in my diet and supplement occasionly with
salmon oil. I do notice a difference in inflammation. Your moms mileage
may vary.

I have PA. If I have salmon (or one of the other deep water fish) for
dinner, I feel about 20% better the next day. Maybe it's the placebo effect,
but if it is, it's had a long run. Taking salmon oil doesn't seem to have the
same effect for me. I read where one would have to take about 16 1,000mg gels
to equal a steak--then you'll be burping fish oil all day.
Reportedly, the omega fatty acids are also beneficial for the circulatory
system. That's why the Eskimos have a low rate of heat disease despite their
"high fat" diet.

If you buy an omega3-EPA supplement try to get one thats derived from
Norwegian salmon. It seems to be the best and in gel caps you'll never
taste or after-taste it.

I was on the Omega 3 oil for 18 months and my cholesterol stayed in the
135 - 137 range.

This has gotta be what Diane was referring to when she asked just what
Harvey was eating, and I say whatever it was, Harvey, keep it up and you
will become a world-class poet or novelist! Liz G
World-class ass maybe but a poet or novelist I am not. I think everyone
has those kinds of thoughts. Being that I am retired and have
the time to think about things now, I just share it with my friends.
