PSI Announces New Service: After Dark Service, or ADS

Reston, Virginia - May 24, 1991 - John T. Eldredge, Director of Sales
and Marketing, Performance Systems International, Inc. (PSI) today
announced a new product for customers using the Internet, called After
Dark Service (ADS). ADS provides a simple way for the individual to
access their accounts on Internet hosts during evenings and weekends.
This service requires a personal computer, or terminal, and a modem
set at 300, 1200, 2400 or 9600 baud. Dialup points are available
locally in major cities throughout the continental US.
Eldredge commented, "This new service answers the market's demand for
low-cost, individual dialup access to their Internet accounts and
greater performance through higher speed modems. Matched with the
reduced network traffic in the evenings, costs are low while
reliability and performance is maintained."
"Now millions of owners of personal computers and modems can access
accounts for work or personal use across the global Internet during
'off-hours' when they have time at home. ADS can be acquired
independently and at costs not unlike the price of their local phone
services."
The PSI After Dark Service is available 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM EST Monday
through Friday, and 24 hours/day, weekends only. The price for ADS is
a flat rate of just $35 per month, plus a one-time registration fee of
$35.
