I am posting this notice in the hope that a couple ww2 veterans of D-Day
might show up at my fathers funeral. He died at age 77 of cancer at his
home in Fla. His funeral will be a grave side service at Ft Mitchell,
AL. (day and time should be available tomorrow). His name was Lewis
Prentice, infantry, at St Joe on D-Day, and his unit received the
Luxembourg Croix-de-Gere. He died Christmas night.

Your prayers would be appreciated for him.

Thanks,

Most Rev. Victor Prentice
Metropolitan

The Funeral will be at Ft Mitchell, AL on Monday Dec. 29, 1997 at 10
a.m. He may have been at St or San Lo (instead of St Joe) sorry, not
familiar with the D-Day names. We have asked for help from a Phoenix
City Funeral Director to locate an Honor Guard for the service from VFW,
DAV or one of the groups in the area. Since he is being buried away from
his home (in Florida) and most of his family is from Wisconsin we hope
some veterans will show up to let everyone know that the old veterans
have not been forgotten, nor has their sevice to our country and the
world been ignored or overlooked all these years later.

Thanks
