Leonardo was born to Ser Piero, and Catarina
(unmarried) at a farmhouse in Anchiano about
3 kilometers north of Vinci, Friday evening,
14 April, anno Domini 1452 about 9:30 PM LAT
according to biographers. A baptismal chapel
and font still stands in the local church of
Vinci where he was christened, by the parson
Piero da Bartolomeo, "Lionardo". Casa natale
di Leonardo was built cir 1400. Restorations
were made in 1952 and 1986. The "green road"
