The Linux Counter now has a World Wide Web interface

available by E-mail or FTP.
Now both registrations and reports are available through the World Wide Web,
thanks to the dilligent efforts of Patrick Reijnen <patr...@sci.kun.nl>.
The URL is http://domen.uninett.no:29659/; the forms should be
easy to fill in.
Both MACHINES, FRIENDS and PERSONS can be registered. You still get an
E-mail back confirming your registration (and I get a bounce message if
you spell your E-mail address wrong; take care!)
Of course, it is still possible to register using E-mail to
linux-...@uninett.no!
I enclose the latest statistics, for your benefit; always available
from ftp://aun.uninett.no/pub/misc/linux-counter!

There are 8974 registered Linux users
I estimate this as being between 0.2 and 5% of the total number of Linux users,
giving the total community size something between 179.480 and 4.487.000 members.
