If your BIOS doesn't give you the option of continuing on errors, then
do the following:
(1) Get hold of an old keyboard. It must have working electronics
(usually just the one IC), but need not have functioning keys, or
LEDs. Use a hacksaw to cut out the electronics around the IC. Leave
the cable and connector intact, but cut through the traces going to
the key matrix. Throw this PCB stub into a box such as can be obtained
from electronic hobby stores and there you have it. Alternatively, if
you can find a keyboard with a membrane keypad (eg non-click types
such as Optima), then the job is even easier. The electronics in these
keyboards is located on a small detachable PCB (~14x6 cm).
(2) You can avoid VGA POST errors in the absence of a monitor by
adding three 75 ohm resistors between each of the RGB outputs and
their respective ground returns, ie between pins 1 & 6, 2 & 7, and 3 &
8.
