Recently someone attacked most of the mozilla.org mailing
lists as well as several individuals by subscribing them to
more than a hundred mailing lists. While its possible to
unsubscribe from these lists, the volume of subscription
notifications alone is overwhelming.

If you are a victim of this attack please help the AOL
operations security team investigate this incident by
forwarding any subscription requests and subscription
authorization requests to the following email address.
In particular, we're interested in email messsages
that contain the IP address of the subscriber. This
information may be contained either in the body of the
subscription notification or in the header of such messages
in fields such as "X-IPAddy". I'm only posting to these
three newsgroups but this request applies to all mozilla and
mozillazine contributors.

***********************************************************
*** Please do NOT forward messages that are from the mailing
*** lists themselves. Only messages that contain the initial
*** subscription information or confirmation information will
*** be useful. Don't forward regular spam.
***********************************************************

Be sure to forward mail so that all headers are included.
If you use mozilla mail, this can be accomplished by
forwarding your mail as attachment. Under the Message
menu click on Forward As and choose Attachment. Or set
the preference to make this the default.

Also, only forward one message at a time; some mailers and
systems mangle the email headers if too many messages are
concatenated together.
