The movie worked well. All my thoughts about the inappropriateness of
Michael Keaton were dispelled. I still don't think he was the best
choice for Batman, but he wasn't the worst choice. I wouldn't have minded
if they'd used 2 actors for the role; one for Batman, one for Bruce Wayne.

Jack Nicholson was brilliant. His interpretation of the Joker reminded
me of the line Necross has in issue 23(?) of Cerebus: "I so LOVE being evil!".

The way it worked out, they could have called the movie _Joker_. I think
he had more screen time, and he certainly had more screen prescence.

Mercifully, there's very little of Prince's music in the movie. Danny
Elfman proves that he can conduct an orchestra, and score a "serious" movie.

There's also, easily, room for a sequel.

In deference to those of you who haven't seen it yet, I'll hold off using
a new, improved .signature that has one of my favorite lines from the movie.

On the GOFOTT (Generic, Old-Fashioned One to Ten) Scale, I give it an 7.83629
(approximately). This, of course, doesn't mean too much (unless you know
what else I like), but definitely consider it a recommendation.
