On one of Hoagland's webpages, there is a picture with text of Hoagland
being given the award by Lars-Jonas Angstrom, head of the Angstrom
Foundation and great-great-grandson of the original Angstrom.

Running a search for "Lars Jonas Angstrom" on AltaVista turned up four
hits. The first two were in Swedish and appear to be different pages
from the same website. (http://www.communique.se/tendens/*.html, where
"*" stands for either "start" or "bokhandel".) The following sentence
fragment is suggestive: "...behandlar teknisk aktieanalys skrivna av
Lars-Jonas Angstrom." I wonder if "skrivna" is related to the English
words "scribe", "scribener", or "scribble"? No mention of Hoagland.
Enough words that look like English words to be as tantalizing as hell.

The third hit was to the Early Rays column of *Atlantis Rising* issue
number one. (http://www.aa.net/~mwm/atlantis/issue1/ar1erays.html)
At the bottom of the column is an apparent caption to a missing photograph.
The caption reads as follows:

<<(Top, L. to R.) Paul Davids, Lars-Jonas Angstrom, Carolyn Clark, James
Grigs, Marc Whitford, Richard Hoagland, Dr. Bruce Cornet, Dr. Brian
Moore, John West, Dr. Michael Zimmerman, Dr. Horace Crater.
(Bottom) Dr. Eugene Malove, Dr. Thomas Van Flandern, Robert Fiertek,
Dr. James Strange, Kynthia, Gerry Zeitlin, & James Berkland.>>

Damn! Hoagland again! I'm not up on the New Age stuff, so I don't
recognize the other names, although Kynthia's name is one I've seen
elsewhere within the past week, on one of Hoagland's webpages or else on
some other site with hyperlinks to Art's page.

The fourth hit was to an article in *Planetary Connections* issue number
eleven entitled *The Moon Mars Connection*. (http://www.planetlink.com/
planetaryconnections/iss11/moon.html). Hoagland again, being interviewed
by an author whose name I can't find. However, the second-to-last
paragraph is interesting:

<<On August 27, 1993 Lars- Jonas Angstrom, head of the Angstrom
Foundation of Sweden, presented the prestigious Angstrom Medal, for
the first time outside of Sweden, for excellence in science, to Richard C.
Hoagland in Washington, D.C. The Board of the Angstrom Foundation
decided to award the medal to Mr. Hoagland for those aspects of the
Mars investigation relating to "hyperdimensional physics": this area of
study is based on Hoagland's, and his colleagues', successful decoding of
a redundant mathematics and geometry found in a complex of potential
artifacts on the planet Mars.>>

"For the first time outside of Sweden", and for "hyperdimensional
physics"? How many times inside Sweden? And for what areas of
scientific endeavor? My next step would be to email the Swedish Embassy,
or the Swedish Trade Council, but my computer has given me error
messages when I've tried to do this.

I've come to a dead end after receiving this email:

Hi Jerry!
Yea, I also wondered about this. So i ask him myself when I meet him and Hoagland early
in this summer.
He told me this (as I remember it):
The Angtrom price has a very old orign and it was delivered by some people at the
University of Uppsala. However just before Hoagland recive his price, Jonas Angstrom (
and some people that he select) had take over the control over the Angstrom price.
It is supposed that the selection of the price-winner are meant to be a democratic chois
between these gentlemen, but I think Jonas has a heavy vote in this case.
Jonas personaly, i understand, is very interest in subjekt like teknologic ancient
culture and of course in the question of monument on Mars.
However, the reason for reciving the price was Hoaglands teories of interdimensionary
forces.

I hope Hoaxland will answer some questions on the AB show. I hope
I hit the MegaBucks jackpot at Harrah's too.

"The silver and the copper don't
tarnish," said one of the museum's
attendents. (Speaking about an alleged
UFO artifact that is setting in the
Roswell jail for "security" reasons.
The "museum" is the "International (UFO)
Museum" in Roswell, NV.) More extensive
testing of the object is planned. More
extensive marketing of it is assured.
