I know that the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, in its
recent reports on the expected impacts of greenhouse warming, has
pointed to increased evaporation rates and a consequent increase in
the intensity of flooding as one of the more likely impacts of
continued buildup of CO2 and other greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.
But is there evidence that THIS YEAR'S FLOODING, in particular, is a
response to greenhouse forcing? Or could this just be a cyclical
phenemenon, or a response to the El Nino - La Nina oscillation in the
western Pacific?

It is MY STATED opinion to believe the evidence of your senses before
you believe theory concocted by others.
The really nice thing about science is it NEVER tells you what to
think. It give you the facts. It gives you a duplicatable method to
verify the facts. It gives you the explanation of the underlying
invarient forces producing those facts.
IPCC does not tell me what to think. They provide facts, methods, and
explanations. I put together THEIR contribution with contributions
from others, and decide WHAT I THINK. I am under no obligation to
please Street John or Balls, or James Environmental-Rapist Rapier or
Feeney.
I find "interesting facts" which combined in a series over months show
trends which have no historical precedents. These lead me to look for
additional "interesting facts". Unlike Outhouse-Convict Koch-Sucker, I
don't post facts which agree or disagree with IPCC. Outhouse has been
copying me, diluting the interesting facts with ordinary events,
making "NOISE".
You are a Johnny-come-lately, unwilling to stroll through the archives
to visit the "interesting facts", so you see no pattern, no trends,
nothing which can inform you personally of the connectedness. I have
refused, and will continue to refuse to cater to your laziness. If
your life is worth nothing to you, it is worth less to me.
We are entering a period of at least 25 years where everyone on earth
will be given a bloody nose by wild nature on average at least once a
year. I am forced to wait until the death-toll gets high enough that
the world public is willing to vote the death-penalty for the
anti-environmental forces causing the pain. When 50% plus 1 votes
capital punishment, I promise you a clean sweep of sociopaths: not one
will escape the net.
I will keep reporting the pain until the vote is in. (The vote is
superfluous, as a wallstreet meltdown to zero is inevitable given the
trends.)
Pay attention to line 6...
Psalm 110
1: The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make
thine enemies thy footstool.
2: The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou
in the midst of thine enemies.
3: Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the
beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew
of thy youth.
4: The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for
ever after the order of Melchizedek.
5: The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of
his wrath.
6: He shall judge among the REPUBLICANS, he shall fill the RED STATES
with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over multi-national
corporations.
7: He shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall he lift up
the head.
