DA> BULL. Apparently you missed the posting here from a person

I have been *lurking* here for awhile, watching both sides of the fence,
and feel at this point someone needs to "dive" in and get -flamed- ... (-:

If I understood the "Angstrom Medal" correctly:
Richard Hoagland recieved the medal on behalf of the "Mars Mission"
and its collection of scientists and engineers for the achievement
in the field of "Hyperdimensional Physics".
This special award was given to "The Mars Mission" for the first time
outside of the country of Sweden.
That alone is special.

However, this award has nothing what so ever to do with "Cydonia" or
Mars, nor anything related to the "Face" pictures from the Viking II
probe which as of lately, seem to be the main focus on Hoagland.

Richard Hoagland is a spokesperson for a *group*, not a single person
relating "wild and unsubstantiated claims" ........
Mr. Hoagland is deeply commited to the NASA/Cydonia controversy, but at
the same time, he is also the public figure for the "Mars Mission" on other
avenues such as this wonderful achievement that earned the Angstrom Medal.

The Angstrom Foundation of Sweden was created in 1988 by L.-J. Angstrom
in an effort to continue a family tradition of excellence in science.
Its goals are to broaden the awareness of significant multidisciplinary
achievement in the international scientific community.
This endeavor is to encourage a collaborative problem-solving between
groups in an effort to stimulate possible breakthroughs in fundamental
knowledge of science.

Again, this has nothing to do with speculation, theory, hypothesis, or
claims based on any possible artifacts on another planet .......

I admire the "Mars Mission" and their collaborative efforts to expand
their endeavors into other fields besides the NASA/Mars problem, and
I hope you gentlemen have the same maturity to see this achievement as
a very special event.
This is true science at its best, and to utilize the data at hand to
further the "goal", is what WE should all be looking at.

I, as well as all of you, became deeply frustrated with the "disappearance"
of the Mars Observer, and the inability for either side to prove to the
other the reality of the bold statements that have been made; yet WE must
be intelligent enough to let this one problem "lie by the wayside", and
move on to other positive events, and have the courage to encourage this
type of scientific experimentation for the future of science. After all,
that's what curiousity is all about!

Please reconsider the latest Angstrom Medal achievement for what it was
originally designed for, "Hyperdimensional Physics", and leave all the
petty bickering in the *round* file for pickup.

Thank you.
