From the Disney Consumer Products pubilicity kit:

*A kickass new logo!!*
http://www.nycfan.com/prns.jpg

Three rebellious students are the last ones remaining at their ninja
academy after evil aliens attack the Earth. With mankind at the brink
of destruction, the fate of the world lies in the hands of these
unlikely heroes. Their ninja master teaches them to harness ancient
mystical energies that transform them into Power Rangers.

Main characters:
Red Ranger, Yellow Ranger, Blue Ranger, Red Shadow Ranger, Blue Shadow
Ranger.

And then there was the video presentation, which consisted strictly of
Hurricanger footage. To clear up any misconceptions, yes, Blue Ranger
is female and Yellow Ranger is male. The presentation also briefly
showed the Red and Blue Shadow Rangers, describing them as "two rival
students" who would "join forces with" the Rangers. The impression was
given that they would join the core team later on, not immediately.

I hate to say "I told you so", but...

A - IMDB was wrong
B - Blue Ranger IS a girl
C - Wild Force is NOT continuing for another year
D - They are not sticking with "Force" in the title

Every single year we have to put up with people making dumb
predictions. I mean really, just get with the program already...

Didn't someone make a prediction that it would be called Power Rangers
Ninja Storm for next year anyway? Come to think of it, it was me and
someone else.

Here's some of my predictions that did come true:

1. I predicted that Zordon and Alpha goes home to Eltar.
2. Zordon dies.
3. I got Ryan's and Ms. Fairweathers first names correct.
4. And now Ninja Storm is the confirmed title for next years PR.
5. What's next?

Should I change my handle to "Psychic Ranger"?

Yes, but TMNT was done during the time when Auntie Beeb was some old spinster
who thought cold baths were a bad idea because it made her nipples hard. Times
have changed in the last decade or so (although the beeb still won't show
sailor moon because they say the skirts are too high).

ITV will have no problems with it

What I don't get is why KnightmareCyclone had to copy and paste the
ENTIRE post and post it here.

Despite your lack of faith in PRC, Ray is a pretty reliable person,
although he can rub the wrong way at times. He goes to the licensing
shows that occur ever June, and gets info on the PR series of the
following year. Logos, descriptions, and everything. I've also said
this several times in some of the latest threads here, but Ray doesn't
tolerate rumors at his board, so he wouldn't go out of his way to make
some up himself.

Now if only he could keep the people at his board in line...

I think calling the next series "No" wouldn't be decriptive enough. :)
The only objection I could see is that "Ninja Storm" is just too similiar in
structure and sound to "Ninja Force," "Wild Force"
and "Time Force."
I think they should be simply called Ninja Rangers or even Hurricane Rangers
just because "Power Rangers" have always applied to five-member teams and
the next series would be a divergence from it.

Other than that, I'm more concerned how they will handle the ninja theme
without bastardizing it. I want the origin of the power to
come from some Japanese origin and that Red will be a South Eastern Asian,
if not actually Japanese.

However, I think Disney will make the (obviously) ninja power come from some
ancient artifact buried in the Western Hemisphere (like somewhere in the
West Coast of America) and at best, they'll be a non-Red Ranger who only
looks ambiguously SE Asian, the other two Rangers being Caucasian and
African-American, they won't act like ninjas or fighters in their unmorphed
state (they'll act like most of the other Rangers we've see so far, which is
generic cheerful American), and they'll be a lot of stereotypes thrown in if
they keep the Japanese theme, but that's me expecting the worst from an
American company that makes products for American kids...

DiC had no hand in dubbing any of Sailor Moon S or SuperS. That was Pioneer
and Cloverway's handywork. Hence, why SMS and SMSS had the cool
Japanese-version background music in every episode. The last episodes DiC
dubbed (movies aside, since those, strangely, had the old voice casts and
music, making them ever so much fun to watch) were those 17 last episodes of
Sailor Moon R, first run in the US on Cartoon Network as "Sailor Moon: The
Lost Episodes". That'd be the whole Emerald-to-the-end-of-R arc, for those
who don't pay attention. :)

The three movies (VHS) were released under Pioneer's label, and the DVDs
were the same way. Maybe they had no hand in dubbing the show, but it seemed
right - in my mind - to include them. :)
