Prophecy 1-1-2000

There are only twelve days left until the end of the millennium. At the stoke
of midnight on December 31, 1999, there will no doubt be some problems that
will be traced to the Y2K problem and the anticipation of the second coming of
Jesus. But we shall overcome the vast majority of these problems relatively
quickly. The most significant event on New Year's Eve will be the fact that
Jesus WILL NOT return in the manner that has been proclaimed by the Christian
Fundamentalist for the last 100 years. There will be no apocalypse, no
Armageddon, no rapture.
The apocalypse was World War II and the battle of Armageddon as related by the
Fundamentalist was a metaphor for the battles of the Second World War. The
literal apocalypse was the dropping of two atomic bombs on Japan. When those
bombs were dropped, not only did World War II come to an abrupt halt, humanity
looked into the potential of a literal hell on earth.
For one hundred years, the Fundamental Christians have foisted a doom and gloom
mindset upon the entire Christian community with their prophecies of hell fire
and damnation. Fortunes have been made by televangelist preaching the second
coming from their multimillion dollar headquarters. From their guilded stages
they have taken money from the poor and the old and built marvelous empires by
preaching doom and gloom, guilt and sin.
But the beginning of the end is only 12 days away. Many of these evangelists
have already begun to hedge their bet by saying that the two thousand years
will not be up until the anniversary of the crucifixion some 37 years from now.
Some people will hold onto this vision but not as many as will turn away from
Jesus television.
When the Fundamentalists cannot produce Jesus, people will awaken and no longer
hear the apocalyptic message but they WILL SEE the golden stages. They will
see the extravagant lives of the televangelists. And they will ask themselves
for the first time, how is it that people who live in absolute luxury know
anything about a man who had nothing? Many people will begin to seriously
consider WWJD (What would Jesus Do?). And when they answer that question they
will know that Jesus would have given every dime in his control to the billions
of starving people on the planet without regard to nationality, race, religion
or sex. WWJD? If Jesus ever appeared on one of these evangelistic shows, he
would refuse to sit in one of the guilded chairs. He wouldn't be wearing a
thousand dollar suit and he would not have a Rolex watch. The people will soon
awaken to this truth. Their eyes will soon be opened.
And as regards to the rest of Christianity, it will become more moderate; more
tolerant. It will become more sane and less dramatic. It will settle into the
business of truly making a difference in people's lives. But most importantly,
the great burden of guilt and fear that has been foisted on Christians in
anticipation of the second coming will be lifted from the backs of humanity and
we will all breathe the fresh air of sanity and peace. We will let go of our
fear and begin to concentrate on building a better world through the social
law. We will let go of the burden of sin and guilt that has been mercilessly
crushing Christians for a hundred years.
Issues of abortion, genetic engineering, gays, racism, nationalism, space
exploration, health care and many more will begin to be defined outside the
realm of religion. The solutions to these social problems are going to be
based on practicality and good sense and not on emotionally imposed
pronouncements from the Fundamentalists.
Peace is breaking out all over the world. Communism is dead and with its end
billions of people regained their social freedom. Now Fundamental Christianity
is about to disappear and the self-hatred and fear and guilt that is its
hallmark are going to be lifted from the shoulders of all Christians.
A new wave of peace will be birthed in just twelve days. And like most
birthing, it will come with some short lived pain. But have no doubt, there
will be a new beginning at 12:01 am on January 1, 2000. Peace and WorldPeace
are at the door to the next millennium.

How can we manifest Peace on Earth if we do not include everyone (all nations,
all races, all religions, both sexes) in our vision of Peace?

be peaceful without Christ here. All these made up religions and man made faith
is the main cause of war, greed and black gold also plays a major role in war
and famine the in the mid east!

The last day of the millennium will be December 31, 2000. If a baby born on (a
fictitious) 1/1/0000 completed their first year of life on 12/31/0000, 10 years of

That would be Revelations 1:7?

You can only believe in an apocalypse if you ascribe to what is written in
Revelations (the four horsemen of the apocalypse are released: Revelations 6:
1-8). If you believe the apocalypse was WWII, then, according to Revelations,
Satan should have already been bound and cast into the bottomless pit for 1000
years (Rev 20:2-3) and Jesus should have begun a physical rule on earth.

Matthew 24:36 "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of
heaven, but my Father only." With that passage, no Christian may claim to know
when "the end" will occur. You can't even "hedge your bet". Anyone who preaches
that they know the end date, they are not preaching from the bible.

1. Christians will not produce Jesus. Christians are not in charge, God is.
2. What are the "golden stages" you write of?

People already ask that question. Myself included. Not all Christians agree with
the prosperity doctrine.

Sounds like your purpose is to say man can do all that is needed, that God is not
needed. Make enough laws and engineer society correctly and everyone will
toe-the-line and the world will be perfect.

Sin leads to a separation between the individual and God. If you are convicted of
your sins, you have a choice on how to rectify the separation.

Space exploration is a moral issue?

War breaks out from peace. Peace doesn't break out from war. The statement should
be wars are ending all over the world. However, wars will continue as long as
there is greed and power-hungry individuals who are willing to sacrifice other
human lives to acheive their own personnal lusts.

Even *with* Jesus Christ here, the world will not have peace for more
than a thousand years. The Devil gets out of his pen for one final
romp and he will lead many people who have served Jesus (how can that
be, by the way?) away from Christ because he will (somehow???) "deceive
the nations" one more time.
Let me ask you something: Imagine you've been serving Jesus for some
999 years and then the Devil is let loose and now you're just gonna
fall for his shit...again?
Come on, what's wrong with that picture?
People have been serving Jesus for a thousand years and then the Devil
is going to "deceive them".
How dumb does the Bible think we are, anyway???
I mean, really.
There is a limit to this believer's gullability.
Sure, I believe, but I have to call a halt to that which is SO absurd
that it stretches credibility to the limit.
I draw the line when not drawing it makes me believe an insanely
ridiculous position.
