I just found out that this whole thing is a fraud.
Jews are hated and largely treated with contempt in the Muslim
community, but it seems that this does not hinder them at all
to steal their articles and slightly amend them and present
them as their own without giving tribute to the original source.

How can we find out how old the Muslim version actually is?
The earliest date of a pointer to the Muslim version
that I could find is 1997/06/22 in

The only newsgroup postings with the actual text of this "guide"
in the Muslim version are in 1998 (from what I found on DejaNews).
Earlier some Muslims posted the original version, and the earliest
date I could find any Muslims posting the Jewish version was in

A sad response of one Muslim who posted the article and was
accused to steal the content without giving credit to the source
was this one ( http://www.dejanews.com/getdoc.xp?AN=359754915 ):

First the "missionary guide" is stolen from the yahoodi by the
Muslims and then their name is used as an insult. No shame it
seems.
But the whole point is, when Jews (from a very hostile anti-
Christian group) write something about the situation in the
US or Europe (there are not many Jews in Muslim countries
these days - they seem to feel a lot more comfortable in
countries with Christian heritage... at least and very
obviously so in the last 50 years...) how can Muslims just
take that article over with changing a few words and claim
this to be a guide on what Christians do in Muslim evangelism?
It is absolutely obvious there has not gone _any_ research
of data into this "guide". It was something Christian bashing
and that was good enough to make an Islamic version of it.
The credibility of the article is rather low.
Plagiarism is actually quite common in Muslim writings.
There are dozens of Muslim sites that copy material from
other Muslim sites without crediting the source of it.
I don't mind that too much, just an observation. But
I have found some web pages with devotionals/prayers
which sound very Christian and I am sure I have seen them
before in Christian books, but they are just slightly
"islamized" by changing a few words. And no credit to the
original author obviously. Rather not display it than
admitting that this is actually Christian in origin.
I don't have those documented yet, because it is not easy
finding the sources. But there are several such pages.
One of them even on the front home page of a major Islamic
site.
