Has anyone heard of problems with Excel file corruption when saving your
file to an NT 4.0 Server? I have a MS Technician saying it's responsible
for problems our workbooks are expericing.

Thanks!

Hi Pam,

I've been doing this on a daily basis from both NT Workstation and
Windows 95 for over a year without any trouble. Sounds like that particular
technician had just run out of ideas and was trying to pass the issue off to
some other product group <g>.

Check and make sure there is no anti-virus software checking the
directory you are saving to.

There is a documented issue where Excel saves the file with a different
extension, then renames it. If an agrresive AV program gets in, between
these steps, their can be trouble.
