Dear Sir or Madame,

I have purchased:
HEWLET PACKARD 54602A Digital Oscilloscope with all the accessories for
around $7000.00
HEWLET PACKARD 33120A Arbitrary Waveform Generator for $2000.00

It is my equipment and it is my website and can publish pictures of my
equipment
and I can link to what ever I want to link to!
All the info is genuine and TRUE representation of facts!

Normally it would not be a big dill, but it is now, because the HP
equipment has
contributed in making the most significant break through in science.
Thanks to HP Oscilloscope I was able to invent the world's first Faster Than
Light data transmission line!

Incidentally it completely falsifies Einstein's theory of relativity!
It is a several bullion dollar a year business that brain washes young
peoples minds and
deliver no significant advancement in technology!

Also I will hug you and kiss you for filing a law suit against me!
I have sent 30 thousand email announcements to members of scientific and
educational community.
No single response at all so far.
Why?

Sincerely,

Mathew Orman
ps.There are few thousand websites with HP logos and links to Agilent
Technologies.
I suggest that you settle this with Agilent Technologies.
I would love to have a new scope and new waveform generator.

Well there's your mistake, you should've bought a Tek.

Best, Dan.

Because you are a total moron that can't even grasp the simple fact that
Agilent and HP are two separate companies and have been for some time
in spite of you having been told this on the newsgroup several
times and now HP has told you. And you still don't get it.

If you can't understand who the manufacturer of your 'scope is, why would
anyone think you would be able to understand how to use it?

HP probably complained about the link in the first place.

brand test equipment!

Did you read the letter they wrote to you? He didn't say you couldn't
post the name of your scope or a picture of it, but that you couldn't
display the HP logo. I'm no lawyer, but I think it is their legal right
to say who gets to display their trademark and who doesn't...that's
pretty much the defining purpose of a trademark as I understand it. And
if you can't understand why they are more apprehensive about your using
their logo than they are about other websites, well that may explain
your conclusions in the first place. My advice to you is to swallow
your pride and save it for a chapter in your autobiography when you're a
famous nobel laureate. When it comes to legal issues, I think the less
attention you bring to your website, the better off you will be.

As for whether you can link to their website...hmmm. They may not have
anything on you there. If you take the logo down but keep the link up
and they still hassle you, let me be the first to encourage you to
martyr yourself to the cause of internet free speech. I'm willing to
bet even if they win the lawsuit, they'll be willing to leave you the
patent rights for FTL communications cables.

Oh,
but the logo is on the front of my scope.
Also I really do want them to file law suit against me!
There is a more complex hidden purpose that will be presented in appropriate
moment.

I just visited the website

http://www.ultra-faster-than-light.com

and noticed your logo was on their home page.

The site claims Agilent Technologies help them discover fast
than light transmission in copper wire.

It's hard to imagine that a world reowned company like
Agilent Technologies getting into bed with crackpots.

Also, they appear to be using your name to sell 100 Mbit/sec
cables for $150 per meter!

I forgot to ask you.
I am having this problem with submitting my site to crank.net
I've tried 3 times now and no success.
Can you please submit it for me?
May be there is a rule that does not allow self submissions.

I see that Mathew has wisely chosen to remove HP's logo with
the Agilent link. He now shows an Agilent logo.

Could you please explain what the word 'bough' means to you?

My dictionary says it stands for branch.
If that is true I really do not understand your sentence
and the other ones where you use this word.

He means both, but bad spelling is the least of Orman's problems so we
generally ignore it.
As English is not his first language we don't expect good grammar.
However his science is a different matter.
Matthew cannot understand even basic concepts on theory or practice and his
postings are simply the rantings of a deranged mind.
His ethical sense is somewhat degenerate and he is using this discussion
group to perpetrate a fraud.
