Hi All,

I've got a holiday booked for a week in La Palma and i'm currently looking
at car hire... I booked through carjet.com when i went to the canaries a
couple of years ago. We'd booked a VW Golf but when we got there they tried
to palm us off with a Daewoo Matiz, which has a boot the size of an eggcup -
hardly enough space for our hand luggage, let alone our suitcase. I'll give
the local company credit though, they did give us a full refund and we went
and got a Golf from another company there and then, which worked out OK (but
might not have done).

What i'd like to know really is has anyone had a similar experience with
carjet.com or should i "trust" them again purely because they are VERY
competitive on pricing? Did i just get an unusual bad experience?

Thankyou.
Mark

Hi Mark
I asked similar questions about a week ago in this newsgroup and the
feedback was very positive. One guy said that the company usually UPGRADES
people. I have never used them, but a friend of mine is in the process of
booking (Madrid) and in the next few days I am plan on booking with them out
of Malaga for late March. I too will watch this thread to hear from anyone
else.

I've just got back from Malaga last week after hiring a Renault Scenic with
Car Jet.
I was very pleased with the service. The desk is in the arrivals terminal
and is the first car hire desk, so u don't have to carry you're luggage too
far.
The service was good enough and the car was clean and in good condition.
My father has used easycar in the past and he said carjet was far better and
far more convenient because the desk is in the terminal.
We didn't have to worry about extras (fuel & mileage) unlike some of the
other hire companies.

I would defiantly recommend them and I will be using them myself again !!

Hi Simon
I am about to book with Carjet for the first time -- also out of malaga, so
glad to hear of your positive experience. Do you have any idea what the
connection is with AllInclusive and Carjet?

Hi All,

Many thanks for the replies. I'm thinking of taking a flyer and trying them
again in the hope that because they use smaller local companies i just had a
bad experience before and hopefully it will not have been the norm.

Cheers Again - Mark

As far as I know, www.allinclusive.com is just a website
that points you towards CarJet if you select the "Spain"
option. CarJet seem to be just an agency who don't own
any cars.

I booked a Renault Clio at Alicante airport via the CarJet
website and was told to collect it from the Auriga Car Hire
desk. I got a free upgrade to a Renault Megane which
was brand spanking new with only 34km on the clock.

Excellent prices and good service. I would recommend
them.

I've often used centauro when in Spain. They have been very good.

I believe Carjet is only a broker and will book you through several
different companies. I used them last September in Malaga and they booked us
through a small company that I had never heard of, Record Rentacar. They
upgraded us from a Renault Clio to a Renault Scenic. I was very satisfied.

I have used Carjet 4 or 5 times recently ,from Alicante ,Malaga,
Tenerife and Majorca, Yes they are brokers but obviously negotiate
good deals. In my experience the vehicle are all low mileage, free
upgrades are common and the clincher for me you pay the agreed price
NO extras. Recommended
