Sevilla, Ciclon Ramirez, and Javier Cruz (faces); El Gran Davis and
Pancho Ramirez (referees); heels win 2/3 falls.
These pairing were quite a surprise, given the big face push the
Canadian Vampire has received over the past several months and
likewise, the even bigger heel push Javier Cruz has received.
Nevertheless, both played their appropriate roles to the hilt in this
match.
First Fall: Gargola opens against Sevilla, but Ponzon~a also comes in
to hold Sevilla while the Vampire punches him out. After this goes on
for awhile, Ponzon~a is left alone to face Ciclon Ramirez. The two
trade arm wrings, but Ciclon puts Ponzon~a into a submission hold,
which is immediately broken up by Gargola. Ponzon~a and Gargola both
gang up on Ramirez, and then the Vampire comes in to deliver a
devastating body slam. Ciclon enters and is immediately kicked and
suplexed by the Vampire. Gargola then takes on Javier Cruz. The evil
sultan three times kicks and Irish whips Cruz into the corner buckles.
Sevilla comes in and is kicked from behind by Ponzon~a, who then drags
him over to the heel corner where he is repeatedly bitten on the
forehead by the Vampire. Ponzon~a executes a back body drop on Cruz,
then throws him over the top rope onto the arena floor. El Vampiro head
butts Ciclon, Irish whips him into the corner, and side suplexes him.
As El Vampiro puts Ciclon into a semi-sharpshooter, Gargola pl
Second Fall: Gargola smashes Cruz to the mat, but Cruz recovers quickly
and within seconds has chased all 3 heels from the ring to the arena
floor where they flee to recover their senses. Gargola kicks Ciclon,
then throws him into the heel corner. Ciclon manages to escape and does
a head scissors throw on Ponzon~a, then again chases all 3 heels from
the ring. El Vampiro and Sultan Gargola quarrel on the arena floor and
Ponzon~a acts as peacemaker. The announcers note that while the
Canadian Vampire speaks both French and English, he is ignorant of
Spanish, making it easy for him to misunderstand his partners' motives.
Back in the ring, Gargola smashes Sevilla, but he recovers and quickly
hip tosses all three rudos, all of whom again escape to the arena
floor, where the Vampire and the Sultan again begin to quarrel. Gargola
is drop kicked out of the ring by Ciclon, who then sets up a
spectacular plancha by launching the running Huracan Sevilla way over
the top rope and into a front flip plancha onto the unsu
Third Fall: Ciclon opens with a spectacular knucklelock throw of
Ponzon~a from the top turnbuckle. Sevilla throws Gargola out of the
ring, then fakes a suicide plancha. The Vampire shoves Javier Cruz to
the mat and body slams him. Ponzon~a then takes on Sevilla and, when
the referees weren't looking, the Vampire came in to choke Sevilla.
Gargola throws Ciclon out of the ring, where Ponzon~a trashes him on
the arena floor. Gargola almost fouls Cruz with a knee below the belt,
but the referees refuse to call it. Gargola climbs to the top rope and
does a diving plancha onto Sevilla on the floor while Cruz submits to a
Ponzon~a backbender in the ring.
