The original MASH outfit was the 8055 (eight-oh-double nickel) MASH, which
moved around quite a bit--as far north as Pyongyang and south to Uijongbu,
which is about 20 miles or so north of Seoul. It's this latter location
where the book/movie/tv MASH 4077 was set. The 8055th successor unit was
just deactivated at ceremonies in Korea attended by Larry Gelbart, David
Ogden Stiers and Larry Linville. The Army is doing away with MASH units
in favor of some other configuration.
