Visual Basic 4.0 can't access help file

I had to reinstall visual basic 4.0 pro and the help function doesn't work. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times with the same results. Can't find windows help.EXE file. Can you help?

The article below says "uninstall and re-install". Since you've already tried that, you
might do it one more time.... the only difference is that this time, uninstall, run
RegClean and then re-install. No guarantees but RegClean works wonders sometimes for
problems like this.

Note that it's no longer supported by MS (they don't want to hear of any

There are reports of minor problems involving Win2k with Office2k installed
(VB asks for Office CD when starting) because RegClean removes a required
Office2k registry entry.. but, that doesn't happen often, effects Win2k +
Office2k only (so far) and is easily fixed so... fwiw, I run it both on
(WinXP with OfficeXP @ home) and (Win2k with Office97 @ work) and haven't
had a single RegClean related problem. I've also used it on every other OS.

It is a possibility that your system does not have the right version of
winhelp. I don't know where you would get a copy these days, because if
memory serves me correctly VB4 used the 16bit version of winhelp.
