The only one I'veever heard about is Dershowitz, & he is not so much a
"Jewish luminary" as he is a legal prostitute (& I *used* to respect
him!). For these others to be mentioned in the same breath tells me more
than I need to know.

Dershowitz may or may not be a "legal prostitute," but he is
committed to the Jewish community. His books on Jews (Chutzpah,
The Vanishing American Jew) are full of valuable insights on our
situation. Regardless how you feel about his professional
activities, don't brush away his efforts in favor of American
Jewry. Needless to say, Dershowitz's legal work has absolutely
nothing to do with the endeavors of the rest of the group. It
is unfair to disqualify them just for being on the same panel
as Dershowitz.
