Looking as if I shall have to have treatment for my addiction to a
recent movie <g>, the original of this has been rattling around in
the filkal lobe, and I just thought I'd tweak a few words.

(TTO I'm a believer original by the Monkees, but lots of covers)

I thought no one still wrote decent fantasy
Stuff that made you think as well as laugh
Ah, he was out to get me
That's the way it seemed
Discworld stories now haunt all my dreams

<refrain>
Then I saw this group
Now I'm a believer
Through that hoop
of doubt in my mind
I'm in love
I'm a believer I couldn't leave here if I tried

I thought books were more or less a tradin' thing
Seems the more I sold the less I got
What's the use in worryin
All you get is pain
Fandom's now my sunshine and my rain

[refrain]

Ah, you were out to get to me
At cons and parties themed
Discworld stories now haunt all my dreams

[refrain]

Yes, I saw this place
Now I'm believer
There's mot a trace
of doubt in mind
Well, I'm a beliver
Yeah,yeah,......

Neil Diamond - to give the writer his due

I was spending all of my spare change on Richard Thompson's music,
but now I'm hoarding Pterry books as well (still on a paperback
budget). These funny English guys with black hats will be the death
of me.
