End of Eva DVD problem?

Hello!

I know that Manga admitted that there's a problem with some copies of
End of Evangelion, but I need to know if mine is busted.

Here's the setup: I watched the movie on a JVC XV-521BK DVD player and
a PlayStation 2. At the scene were Rei is about to merge with Lilith
and the kanji for "welcome home" displays the screen flashes between
frames for a few seconds and then plays normally.

So is my copy a busted one?

If it plays normally afterwards then you prolly just have a disc with a
minor error on it. Still, you can try to get it replaced.

I get an illegal operation when I watch the EoE dvd, the only way i found to
fix that problem was to forwind so that it doesn't crash at the place it was
supposed to.

I would imagine you have a defective disc. Get it replaced.

It's just the layer change(Whatever that is). Alot of people's does that. It
may or may not be fixed the next time you watch it.
