And probably none of you remember me from earlier postings as I am now using a
new e-mail address. I used to use IXI JnKo IXI and had a line from EoE as my
signature. Anyway, back to the point, I've soaked in all the information this
newgroup has given and have contemplated all the theories brought forth about
the complexity of Eva...so now what? NGE has to be one of the best, if not the
best, anime series that will ever be created and I'd hate to lose that little
connection I have with it. ::sigh::

I spent the last four days building a database in Access. I spent 5 hours
yesterday trying to teach someone how to use it and am going back today to
continue this effort. On top of that I'll be correcting any mistakes they
make at the end of the day when all I want to do is go to bed. They make a
lot of mistakes and those are called illegal because this is a donor
database and will get audited once a year by the government. Any mistakes
will cost them dearly and we are there to keep the place open as the drop
in center for people with mental diseases has lost it's funding from the
government.
Next after I have done that I have to ensure that we have a steady stream
of items on Ebay, which as you can imagine has not happened in the last
few days and I have a newsletter to send out tonight after I have
everything after I catch the Ebay items up because it's all about
advertising the Ebay items.
After all that I have a marketing system to maintain daily.
I changed the poll and went to bed. Right now my life does not allow me to
do a whole lot of what I would like to do.

Well, I recommend it. It's a bit shoujo and hints a lot of yaoi because it's
done by CLAMP. The series is different from the movie and the manga is
different from both the series and the movie. But the movie seems like it would
work really well with Eva characters. I'm not sure if you can rent it or
anything, but you can purchase one at your nearest Suncoast.

I doubt I'll ever forget NGE, as much as I'd like to (so I could watch it
again not knowing what happens).
Best thing I could probably do is put the DVDs away in a box and dig them up
in 30 years or so and go 'oh I wonder what this is about!' =P

They are held annually because they are a lot of work. It should have been

Well, let's see: Main character misses his mother who has died a horrible
death. Main character goes back to Tokyo(-3). Main character is then told to
join in a force of good versus evil when there is no real good or evil in the

This is where the changes start to occur.
You've seen the movie and you've seen how the people act so you'll probably see
how the characters fit.
Shinji as Kamui.
Yui as Kamui's mother.
Kaji as Sorata.
Misato as Arashi.
Asuka as Karen.
Makoto as Aoki.
There's an assortment of other characters I just didn't bother thinking of.
Anyway, if you didn't notice before, Asuka is not the main interest in the
story. In fact, Rei is Kotori in my story and that fits well with Kaoru being
Fuuma. There's that crazy little bit about Kaoru being yaoi with Shinji in the
later episodes of Eva, and that fits well with the yaoi link between Fuuma and
Kamui. Although, I've never really been a fan of yaoi. Anyway, Rei being
Kaoru's sister doesn't seem like such a stretch after EoE.
Hmmm, I've ranted long enough. Does this seem like a dumb idea? Or should I
pursue this fanfic? I have like a 14 hour flight to Hong Kong at 5:30
tonight...so this would be helpful to fill the time.

I'm unsure as to how many people would make the connection, I'd probably
have to watch X again and actually try to make the connections.
An anime where I instantly made a connection would have been Nadesco
(spelling NFI)

Nadesico is almost exactly like Eva. Except the Aestavalis aren't as good as
the Evas. The characters are mostly the same (Ruri has a screaming resemblance
to Rei). But yeah, I've thought of doing a Nadesico/Eva fanfic but it just
seems like there's not much creativity involved then.
