Cabins (Ping - Scout Master Ryan)

anywhere within a 3 hour or so drive of the Tokyo
area with cabins and (outdoor?) baths for an
overnighter on 9/23-24. I've already got all of my
camping gear (a bbq set and a cooler) loaded up in
the car. This is supposed to be a kind of romantic
get-away from work and the kids type of deal. Any
suggestions would be appreciated.

Not a weekend -- you done good already.
I remember we suggested that place with cabins in Shizuoka, near Izu. I
think it had a view of Mt. Fuji. I can't seem to find the outdoor magazine
where it was listed, but you should be able to find it pretty easily if you
look at a camping guide that includes Shizuoka.
