No, I'm not the one who helps you getting low-quality DivX files -
maybe you'll try to sue me for helping you hurt your eyes? I can't know.
BTW: I do know where they are available, but the quality is extremely low.
VHS is much better, not to speak of DVSs.
If you really want DivX, get a DVD-ROM drive (now I've got one ^_^) and
the episodes in DVD quality. They're worth the price. You can then rip
them using your favourite DVD ripping software. If you know what you do,
you get better quality and smaller files than the ones around in file
sharing networks or on IRC.

Your source is in conflict with my opinion, thus your source is
obviously flawed. [Disaster in jae]
Dont get me wrong. I dont really want them in any bad quality ...
I would actually buy them at once on DVD if they would already be
available on R2 DVDs. But sadly they are not.
And being DivX doesnt strictly mean bad quality. There are good quality
divx files too. Anyway, i dont really look for a special format. In fact
i'd be peachy with any file-format. I simply asked for DivX as they are
usually the most common.
Volume 1 is released January 20th.
I really don't understand why any anime fan in the UK has a region-2 only
player. Seems a bit stupid to me...

now who said that i am from the UK ? :-P
and i guess i am just starting to turn into a fan... ;-)
They are. See other posting.
.at? Austria? Isn't there any way to get the German edition? Find
out if someone you know has the German DVD box (limited edition x_x)
and copy it to VHS. This way you get much better quality for the same
price (0). NGE with English subs is much better available.
But this will change. There'll soon be a re-edition.

The English subbed ones (of which all 26 fit on 3 CDs) *are* of bad
quality. The German subbed ones are... watchable.

Then get MPEG-2, the format used on DVDs. With high bitrate, of course.

The ones here in Australia are R2/R4, well the episode ones anyways. D&R and
EoE are R4 only though.

Off Kazaa, the ones that come two to a file are poorish quality,
probably taped from TV - but someone's begun ripping DVDs lately, and
the first five or six episodes are available as single files in a much
higher quality. Still not ideal, though... I'm going to have to start
hunting down DVDs myself :-)
thank you
bye
