Sony cybershot DSC-F828 or Fuju Finepix S7000 zoom

828 is a bit better, a lot bigger and about $300 more. It depends on if you
want to carry something that big and pay the extra $$ for a slightly better
camera.

There are some good deals on the fuji right now.

3 year back after buying my Fuji F601Z at $1099 with only 1pcs 28MB memory
stick .
8month later it offer for $599 and with free items tripod, 64 MB memory
stick , cradle ,camera bag ,
umbrella.feel totally cheated you can find this happening in
Cannon,Olympus.........even with offer only slight different

as the fujifilm s7000 does not have movie mode

Yes it does.
The S7000 shoots movies at 640x480 at 30 fps.
The format it uses is avi at a whopping one meg per second.

The specs seem good but don't expect Sony to price downward in a hurry.

As for the Fuji S7000 (I have the S5000) I am waiting for the reason why
Fuji came out with their new S20, it is a take off of the S7000.

My question is why so similar to the S7000, is there a problem with their
S7000.

602 to S7000, S7000 to S20, seems strange. Fuji doesn't explain the reason
so I am holding out until I find out why, yes, I think they made the S20
because of a minor problem, picture fault, in the s7000. They are now using
the f700 ccd, now that is weird, you would have thought they would have made
some change rather than to use the ccd from another camera line.

If I am wrong let me know.
