This linked to a anime fanboy site.
They have a whole range of 'fun' t-shirts.

Anime fanboy site, riiiight.
It seems to be a *bit* more specific than plain ol' anime.

There was a collected quotes page, accessible from the main page.
Notables:
"I used to have great respect for women until I came to Japan."
- Irish friend Declan
"When two people agree to an international marriage, they should live in
wife's country. This way all will be more easy."

He actually used to hang out here for a while, but this was like maybe
five to eight years ago, and wasn't for very long so I doubt anyone
remembers him.
All I can recall was finding it amusing that he made a living peddling
porn, and yet referred to Iijima Ai as a "slut" in one post, but not
much else.

Here is our old Friend Ben Bullock complaining about Peter Payne, but
this post has great historical value as it was posted before Ben worked
in Japan as a translator and served as playmate/toy for Mike, in one of
the more interested periods this group has experienced.
Long before Ben worked somewhere in the Kansai area and tried to take
his frustrations out on this group, he was doing research in Tsukuba,
and would enthrall the few people who inhabited fjlij back in '95 with
stories of his great prowess in Kanji: http://tinyurl.com/eq2o
Getting back to Peter Payne, I guess you could say he is a fan-boy
success story - anime fan comes to Japan, works for a while teaching
English and then sets up business selling Japanese porn and other stuff
to brethren back in the States.
When he was posting here his business was still small, and I think he
only had his ex-student working for him, so he seems to have done well
for himself.

Or the people who inhabit it, to be more precise.

That was almost 8 years ago. Imagine how much kanji ass he must kick now.

I miss Ben. And Gary. I miss Ben and Gary. Suddenly, I find myself
craving ice cream, and I don't know why.

Thank God I didn't wander into the group right about the time snoozers
like that were going on. I would have wandered right back out again.
And just think of all the great fun I would have missed.
I'd like to say more, but by hydroencephalwhachamacallit is flaring up
(we anti-intellectuals suffer from this a lot) and I have to go lie
down now. Sometimes it helps if I just go lie.

I did.

I did.

Yeah, well, I survived.

True.
You know, if ever I were to feel the need to build a space-saving house,
I think I'd check the works of people whose living depends on getting it
right, such as the designers of mobile homes and yachts. But what would
I know?
