Last month, during a party at which drinks were
served, Japan Communist Party policy chief
Hideyo Fudesaka properly saw an interesting
ability possessed by an unnamed female partier,
meanwhile surely not being unclear about his
own human needs. In true Communist spirit,
Fudesaka tried to get the woman to deliver.
But yesterday Fudesaka resigned after admitting
that he had attempted such an exuberant
performance of Communist spirit.
How shameful.
Does the JCP stand for nothing any more.

"45% think that Karl Marx's Communist Manifesto's "from each according to
his abilities, to each according to his needs" is part of the U.S.
Constitution."
This is how Democrats get elected.

"If a government of and by the people is to survive we've got to boost the
average level of knowledge among those who vote."
If your ignorance of, inter alia, basic mathematics, science, computing and
economics is typical of university graduates in your country then the future
doesn't look too bright.

"he [John Ashcroft] deliberately left Jesus out of office prayers to avoid
offending non-Christians." - Ben Shapiro 27/2/2003
I think you are being unnecessarily harsh on Kevin. "From each according
to her abilities, to each according to his needs" is actually a fair
description of the quality and quantity of many of his posts. He's
clearly a fair dinkum true believer.

Nah, they were around before the Entitlement Mentality became a firmly
established part of the Sepponian political landscape.
A more appropriate quote these days would be from the Janet Jackson
Manifesto: "What have you done for me lately?"

This question is rather bizarre. Did either of these presidents advocate
income distribution programs? Yes, I know about Lincoln's executive
enactment of an income tax at the beginning of the Great Unpleasantness and
TR's support for an income tax, but I don't remember either doing anything
approaching the "to each according to his needs" part.

You should see the ads AARP has been running these days. Dubya is really
pissing me off with this Medicare prescription drug bill.

And repubs.
I read the article, saw the asterisks, but saw no citations. It's ironic
that Semmens decries polls at the same time he's using them to support his
interpretation of the electorate.
It may be hard to believe, but for many individuals (my wife among them) a
question is not a logical transaction. The vast majority of polls are not
well constructed, or they are carefully constructed with a particular agenda
in mind.

Who asks, "Why am I getting inundated with spam having to do with septic

Hmm, is this a joke? They were both Republicans. Until Roosevelt
started the Bull Moose party, of course.
"In 1858 Lincoln ran against Stephen A. Douglas for Senator. He lost the
election, but in debating with Douglas he gained a national reputation
that won him the Republican nomination for President in 1860."

"Home from the war a hero, Roosevelt was elected governor of New York in
the fall of 1898, but his enthusiasm for reform so provoked the state's
Republican leaders that they arranged for him to run as the party's
vice presidential candidate in 1900. When the Republican ticket won,
Roosevelt was out of their hair."

Uh, which Democratic President advocated this?
If you cannot name one, your objection is, as usual, spurious.

Uh, yes. Both had reputations which did not exactly endear themselves to
the very wealthy.
